By God's grace, I made this Blog to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3b). I marvel at the false teachings I hear from most pulpits today regarding repentance and how to get to Heaven. I am a humble VOICE to expose these lies and other popular heresies in churches and on social media today. RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!

Evangelist Sam Gipp's Counterfeit Plan Of Salvation
Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
Dear reader, let us begin by defining “the Gospel” with the inspired Holy Scriptures. What is the Gospel? ...
1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
So according to the Word of God, as we just read, the Gospel (meaning “Good News”) is comprised of three things:
Jesus DIED on the cross to pay our debt of sin.
Jesus was BURIED.
Jesus bodily RESURRECTED three days later from the dead.
We know that Jesus is also the only begotten Son of God, the Christ, John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” We know from the Scriptures that a person must realize he or she is a guilty sinner to be saved:
Romans 3:19-23, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
In these passages of Scripture we see God's simple plan of salvation. Anyone who comes to God as a guilty sinner, receiving Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for their sins, believing that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God who was buried after dying on the cross, and raised up three days later from the dead, is saved. It is that simple! Eternal life is a free gift from God, paid for by Jesus' precious blood (Romans 5:15-18; 1st Peter 1:18-19).
Evangelist Sam Gipp's Damnable False Plan Of Salvation
Now having showed you THE TRUTH, let me show you Evangelist Sam Gipp's different plan of salvation, which does NOT match what the inspired Holy Bible teaches. On Sam Gipp's YouTube channel, in a heretical YouTube video titled: “How To Be Saved,” Gipp states the following (which he admittedly copied in part from cartoon evangelist Jack Chick's religious tract, “The Sissy”)...
“First, you must admit you are a sinner. You have broken God's laws. Then, you must be willing to turn from sin and reject it. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from the dead. Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior.
Simply pray something like this, and mean it with all your heart:
Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood, and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin.I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior.” ~Dr. Sam Gipp
You can watch Sam Gipp's heretical YouTube video for yourself, from which I transcribed the preceding quote...
Evangelist Sam Gipp's Counterfeit Plan Of Salvation
That is NOT the Gospel taught in the Holy Bible. To the unlearned Christian believer, the preceding false plan of salvation may not seem like a big deal, but it is dear friend. Remember, the serpent (the Devil according to Revelation 20:2) is the most subtle of all creatures. Genesis 3:1, “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” Satan is a beautiful liar! The Devil is a cunning liar, manipulator and deceiver.
When criminals counterfeit money, they intentionally try to make their corrupt money appear as close to real money as possible. Satan does the same thing with religion. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that all of the pseudo (false) Christian cults believe that Jesus is the Christ. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Roman Catholics believe Jesus died on a cross, was buried and resurrected three days later. Hey, that is THE GOSPEL! So are Roman Catholics saved? No, they are not, because they also require keeping Seven Sacraments to get to Heaven. The first sacrament in the prisonhouse of Catholicism is water baptism. All of the pseudo-Christian cults require water baptism to get into the Kingdom of Heaven.
We know from the Bible that water baptism is NOT required to get to Heaven. The thief on the cross didn't get baptized. The Bible plainly teaches in Galatians 1:6 that there is only one Gospel, not two or more. So we know that the thief on the cross got saved the same way that everyone does, which is by faith alone in the Good News of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen. No one in the Old Testament was every water baptized for salvation.
Turning Away From Sinful Ways Is WORKS!
The Gospel of John is God's Gospel tract, as we read earlier in John 20:31. In the book of John we find the word “believe” mentioned at least 85 times in various forms, but there is no requirement anywhere in the Gospel of John to be water baptized. And for that matter, neither is the word “repent” mentioned even once in the Gospel of John. This is because repentance is automatic. To “repent” in the Bible regarding salvation simply means “to think differently.”
For example: Mark 1:15 says, “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” The Greek word for “repent” in this Bible verse is metanoeo, a verb form which means: “to think differently.” So a literal interpretation of this Scripture passage is: “Think differently and believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, was buried and physically resurrected three days later from the dead.” You don't repent AND believe, you repent TO believe.
Repentance facilitates believing, by which we are saved. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” You don't get saved by repenting, you get saved by BELIEVING; but no one has ever been saved who didn't also repent. Repentance and faith are as two sides of one coin. They are inseparable from each other.
I love this helpful quote on repentance from Pastor Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951):
“Which comes first, repentance or faith? In Scripture we read, 'Repent ye, and believe the gospel.' Yet we find true believers exhorted to 'repent, and do the first works.' So intimately are the two related that you cannot have one without the other. The man who believes God repents; the repentant soul puts his trust in the Lord when the Gospel is revealed to him. Theologians may wrangle over this, but the fact is, no man repents until the Holy Spirit produces repentance in his soul through the truth. No man believes the Gospel and rests in it for his own salvation until he has judged himself as a needy sinner before God. And this is repentance.”[emphasis added] ~Pastor Harry Ironside, 'Except Ye Repent,' p. 16
Yes, that is it! Repentance is simply the acknowledgment that I am as guilty a sinner as God hath declared me to be in His holy Word. Pastor Ironside further offers these helpful words...
“The Gospel is not a call to repentance, or to amendment of our ways, to make restitution for past sins, or to promise to do better in the future. These things are proper in their place, but they do not constitute the Gospel; for the Gospel is not good advice to be obeyed, it is good news to be believed. Do not make the mistake then of thinking that the Gospel is a call to duty or a call to reformation, a call to better your condition, to behave yourself in a more perfect way than you have been doing in the past …
Nor is the Gospel a demand that you give up the world, that you give up your sins, that you break off bad habits, and try to cultivate good ones. You may do all these things, and yet never believe the Gospel and consequently never be saved at all.”
Amen and amen! When the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas in Acts 16:30b, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?,” their simple reply in Acts 16:31a was to: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” The free offer of salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ was extended to the man's entire family, if they wanted God's gift. Dear reader, please notice that Paul and Silas DIDN'T pressure the unsaved man to forsake his sinful ways to be saved. They DIDN'T tell the Philippian jailer to be willing to stop living in sin, turn away from his sin, or be willing to reject his sinful bad habits to get to Heaven. Sam Gipp is a theological liar—a deadly false prophet who needs to be exposed and rebuked sharply in pulpits across America. ...
Titus 1:9-14, “Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.”
In typical cult fashion, Sam Gibb mixes works with grace to confuse people. One of my favorite sermons is by Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold...
Caught Between Grace And Works (an excellent sermon by Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold)
Tragically, most pastors and clergy today are caught between grace and works, preaching another gospel of partial faith in Christ plus WORKS!!! Sam Gipp and Jack Chick (1924-2016) have blood on their hands. Sadly, Jack Chick printed and sold over 1,000,000,000 religious tracts, all of which lied to lost sinners, requiring them to be willing to stop living a sinful lifestyle to get to Heaven. THAT IS WORKS!!!
Sadly, Sam Gipp has also fallen for the same Satanic deception. Gipp is deceived of the Devil, preaching a false gospel for filthy lucre's sake. I must also warn you about Pastor Keith Gomez in Elgin, Illinois. Pastor Gomez is close personal ministry friends with Sam Gipp. These men are all corrupt in their theology! No where does the inspired King James Bible teach us to “turn from your sinful ways” or to “reject your sins” to be saved. Ungodly religious men embellished God's simple plan of salvation, adding these unbiblical requirements to get to Heaven.
It is man's sinful nature to have a tendency to want to help God save us. If you fully understand that salvation is of the Lord (Jonah 2:9), then it will become obvious that you don't need to give up your sinful ways to receive God's gift. Eternal life is a free gift! You don't have to qualify for a gift, you simply take it. Dear reader, Jesus died for your sins! Christ died for the ungodly (Romans 5:6-9). That means you and me, because we are all ungodly sinners!
You don't have to be willing to turn away from your sins to be saved, because that would be WORKS! Jonah 3:10, “And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.” God spared judgment upon the Ninevites (who were Assyrians) because they turned away from their evil ways, but they didn't get saved. No one has ever been saved by WORKS!!! Romans 4:4, “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.” As we just read, if salvation had ever been by works, then it would have been by debt instead of by grace. God would have OWED them salvation because they did WORKS to earn it. Salvation has always been only by God's grace!
One hundred years later the decedents of the Ninevites returned to their evil ways, and God sent the prophet Nahum to proclaim imminent destruction upon them. They destruction came in 612 BC when the kingdom of Babylon conquered the Assyrians. No one has ever been saved by their own self-righteous works. Turning away from sinful ways is WORKS!!!
Furthermore, we read in Jonah 3:10 that God Himself “repented.” If repentance means to be willing to turn away from one's sinful ways, then we have a big problem here, because God cannot do evil. James 1:13-14, “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” God cannot sin. God is holy, just, sinless and righteous in every way. I am so thankful that the God of the universe is a good, reasonable, fair and righteous being! Could you imagine if Satan were the highest power in the universe? I thank God for God!!!
Clearly, God did not turn away from His sins in Jonah 3:10. God simply changed His mind, deciding not to destroy the people of the city of Nineveh at that time. Repentance is simply a change of mind toward God (Acts 20:21), where a lost sinner acknowledges THE TRUTH (2nd Timothy 2:25). The truth dear friend is that you are a guilty sinner. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). That includes the second death in Hell (Revelation 21:8, 20:11-15). The GOOD NEWS is that God the Father gave up His only begotten Son, Jesus, as a sacrifice on the cross to die for your sins and mine. Jesus shed His blood for our sins, and ultimately sprinkled that literal blood upon the heavenly Mercy Seat (Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 12:24). We are saved by faith in the blood of Jesus (1st Peter 1:18-19). Romans 5:9, “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”
My only hope for Heaven is Jesus Christ and His righteousness. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:” There is nothing I have ever done or ever will do that can get me to Heaven. My only hope is in Jesus Christ, because of what He did through Calvary's cross to pay for my sins, and that He was buried and bodily raised up from the dead the third day. It is done! Jesus paid it all!!!
Kindly said, I don't have to turn away from my sinful ways, nor even be willing to turn away from my sinful ways, to be saved. Eternal life is the free gift of God. Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Anyone who thinks that they must turn away from their sins to be saved, is not saved at all. The only proper mindset that can save is faith alone in Christ alone. WORKS has no place in God's simple plan of salvation.
Tragically, Sam Gipp is not saved. To be saved Gipp must repent of his wrong repentance. He must forsake trusting in his self-righteous efforts to turn away from his sins, and instead trust only in God's righteousness which is imparted by faith alone. What saith the Scripture? John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” The will of God the Father for salvation is to BELIEVE ON JESUS, plain and simple. What Sam Gipp is preaching is another gospel. Jack Chick preached another gospel.
The heretical idea that you must forsake a sinful lifestyle to be saved came from the Devil, not the Holy Bible. In God's true plan of salvation, Christ came into the world to pay your debt of sin. In God's true plan of salvation, He wants to give you forgiveness of sins and eternal life as a free gift. In God's true plan of salvation, there can be no stipulations or obligations for it to truly remain a free gift. Woe unto wicked preachers who add to the Gospel, perverting God's simple plan of salvation, which is through faith alone without any works.
Also, no where in the inspired Word of God are we taught to invite Christ into our life to be saved, as Gipp requires. Sam Gipp is a false prophet! Shame on anyone who wickedly bids Godspeed to Sam Gipp and his counterfeit plan of salvation. RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!!!
If you feel confused dear reader, I humbly challenge you to sit back and just quietly listen to the entire Gospel of John. If you'll do that, I I love doing often, you will see clearly God's simple plan of salvation. Thank you for reading.
