The Fundamental Bible Doctrine Of The Godhead

1st John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Colossians 2:2 and 9, “That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ... For in him [Christ] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

The inspired Holy Bible teaches in Matthew 28:19-20 and Colossians 2:2-9 that the Godhead consists of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The inspired Scripture confirms this fundamental truth in 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝟱:𝟳, “𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗚𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁: 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲.” They are not one; they are not two; they are three in the Godhead.

So, kindly, if anyone has a doctrinal problem with this theological image below, you are ignorant or corrupt in your understanding of the Holy Bible. I am continually surprised how many professed Christians are wrong in their understanding of the Godhead (i.e., Trinity).
Pastor Jeff Owens preached this helpful series on the Godhead:
No one (after being properly taught these Bible truths) is saved who denies the Godhead (the triune nature of God).

Beware of Modalists! These false teachers claim that God enters into different modes, but does not exist in separate bodies. Modalists falsely teach that God the Father became God the Son on earth, then shifted modes back to God the Father when He returned to Heaven. Modalists think when a saint dies that we will see only God the Father in Heaven, but not Jesus in a separate body. We know that Modalism is a lie!

What saith the Scripture? Colossians 3:1, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.” The inspired King James Bible plainly teaches that God and the Son sit upon separate physical thrones in Heaven. The Bible teaches that Heaven is a literal physical place. Jesus raised up in a literal physical body, so that Mary Magdalene tried to touch Him.

After His bodily resurrection, Jesus was seen at one sighting by over 500 brethren (saints) at one time according to 1st Corinthians 15:6. Jesus ascended in a physical body in Acts 1:12, seen visibly departing into the clouds. Jesus went to a literal physical place called Heaven, where He has since lived and interceded as our High Priest for the past 2,000 years, and sits upon a throne to the Father's right side (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 4:14-16).

The religious cult of Jehovah's Witnesses falsely teach that Jesus did not resurrect in a physical body. They say he only raised up in spirit form. That is another Jesus (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4). That is why I always refer to Jesus' bodily resurrection to be clear. The Bible teaches that after being dead and buried for three days (72 hours), Jesus miraculously resurrected physically from the dead by the power of God.

Famous people like Benjamin Franklin and Martin Luther King Jr. openly denied Jesus' physical resurrection from the dead. Sadly, these great men went to Hell when they died without hope. They died in their sins because of their unbelief in Christ. John 8:24, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”

The Godhead is not an optional doctrine dear reader. If you deny that Jesus is almighty God, or deny the Godhead (Trinity), then you need to get saved before it is too late. Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten (biological) Son of God (which makes Him God also); who died in our place on a cross to redeem us from the penalty of our sins. Romans 5:8-9, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” Jesus is precious!!!
