2nd Corinthians 4:1-5, “Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.”
I have mixed feelings about 'CHICK TRACTS.' I grew up as a kid collecting them and I have always loved and admired Jack Chick's superb artwork. Yet, as an adult I came to be horrified by Jack Chick's perversion of God's grace, when he requires readers to “Be willing to turn from sin (repent)” to be saved. Every Chick Tract contains this heresy!!! Folks, what Jack Chick is preaching in his literature is NOT the same as the Gospel taught in the inspired King James Bible. Things that are different are not the same...
(by Pastor Curtis Hutson, 1934-1995)
“And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” —Acts 16:30-31
I'm tired of the double-talk from the Lordship Salvation crowd. Pastor John MacArthur is largely responsible for popularizing Calvinism today, which has spread like the deadly Bubonic Plague. Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron got caught up with MacArthur's heretical teachings. Kirk Cameron even sells the MacArthur Study Bible on his website. It's a lame commentary! These men are all heretically connected. Mr. Chick horribly contradicts himself in every tract he writes (in comparison to his direct statement of faith), when he REQUIRES lost sinners to “Be willing to turn from sin” to be saved. No Sir! Why doesn't he state that in his statement of faith? Why the flip flop?“Salvation is the gift of God and includes the forgiveness of sins, the imputation of the Righteousness of Jesus Christ, and the gift of eternal life. Union with the triune God provides all blessings in this life and the life hereafter. Salvation is received by faith alone, apart from all good works and merit.”
The problem is that millions of people are NOT going to visit his website and read his statement of faith, they are going to go SOLELY on what is written and published in each Chick Tract. It's not just a matter of semantics, because according to 'Chick Tracts' you will not and cannot be saved until you are WILLING to stop sinning. That is an accursed 'ANOTHER GOSPEL' (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4). The Bible warns us that false prophets would attempt to sneak (creep) into our churches undetected, bringing in damnable heresy!!!
So I avoid and don't like 'Chick Tracts.' If you tear off the back page, then most of them will be okay, but as I showed you earlier, the tract, “This Was Your Life” is corrupt.
