Isaiah 40:22-23, “It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.”
Our text Bible passage says that the earth is a “circle.” That settles the matter biblically.
Kindly said, Pastor Dean Odle is an uneducated ignoramus who teaches that the earth is flat. Mr. Odle ought not be allowed or invited to stand behind any pulpit. No man who thinks that the earth is flat should be permitted to be a pastor. Shame on the foolish church congregation who sanctions such insanity.
My humble opinion is that there ought not be any debates (like this shameful debate between pastors' Greg Locke and Dean Odle; the police had to intervene because things got so heated) over the shape of the earth, because it is a scientific fact that the earth is a sphere. Christians ought not engage in stupid discussion with fools over the flat-earth issue, any more than we would hold a conference to discuss how big of a rock can God lift, or whether a fish can ride a bicycle. The Bible warns in Proverbs 14:7, “Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.”
No pastor, church or Bible college ought ever give a platform to the flat earth nonsense, not for 2 seconds. These flat earth fools look for carnal churches and institutions who are gullible enough to give them a microphone. Run them out of town!
Don't Be Deceived About How To Get To Heaven
Considering that there are moronic fools still today who think and preach that the earth is flat, should it be surprising that there are also so many wolves in sheep's clothing in the pulpit, who insist that you cannot go to Heaven unless you turn from your sinful bad habits? I am tired of hearing wicked pastors say that someone just got saved by becoming a Christ follower. That is not how you get saved! Judas followed Christ and went to Hell in his unbelief. Thousands of lost sinners followed Jesus for a food handout, but they didn't trust Him as their Savior (John 6:26). You can follow Jesus, as did the unsaved fools in Matthew 7:21-23, who called Jesus "Lord, Lord," but He denied knowing them as His sheep. Lordship Salvation is a lie of the Devil. Following Christ is a highway to Hell. You don't take Him as your “Lord” to get to Heaven, you receive Him as your Savior by faith alone.
Have you also been deceived? The only way to Heaven is to come to God as a guilty sinner (Romans 2:19-20), and trust Jesus as your personal Savior. Simply receive Jesus' sacrifice on the cross as full payment for your sins; believing that He died, was buried, but then after three days bodily resurrected from the dead (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do.
