The Fundamental Baptist Podcast

Revelation 3:2, “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.”

Welcome to THE FUNDAMENTAL BAPTIST PODCAST! There are many types of Baptists, but being a Baptist once meant that you were a FUNDAMENTALIST! Over the years many Baptists have strayed from the FUNDAMENTALS. And thus attack those who remain true to the faith. This Podcast will address the issues surrounding what it means to be a FUNDAMENTAL BAPTIST.
“Somebody said: 'Brother Hyles, Fundamentalists are changing aren't they? No, fundamentalists don't change—folks quit being Fundamentalists!'” —Pastor Jack Hyles; “Fight, Withstand, Stand
I thank God for faithful preachers! If you ever want to do a fascinating Bible study, simply go through the inspired Word of God and search for the words “
THE TRUTH.” These words appear in the Old Testament 20 times and in the New Testament 62 times. That's 82 times that the Bible mentions THE TRUTH. I'd say that THE TRUTH is important to our great God.

Sadly, many preachers today don't care about preaching THE TRUTH. Instead, they are only concerned about the finances, making sure the bills get paid. You show me a pastor who is mostly concerned about money and I'll show you an ecumenical deadbeat. What saith the Scripture? Luke 16:13, “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” I believe that most pastors are in denial today. It would be shameful for them to admit that money is a higher priority than THE TRUTH, but by their actions they confirm that indeed MAMMON is their God.

I have been openly persecuted by the Bob Jones University crowd, because as Billy Sunday said:
“I've stood for more sneers and scoffs and insults and had my life threatened from one end of the land to the other by this God-forsaken gang of thugs and cutthroats because I have come out uncompromisingly against them.” —Billy Sunday (1862-1935)
The only difference is that Billy Sunday exposed the dirty, bloodthirsty, liquor traffic; but I have exposed the dirty, hellish, Calvinist, Lordship Salvation crowd and their Devil's bibles! Whenever you tell THE TRUTH, somebody will get mad. TRUTH is only hate to those who HATE the truth! 1st Kings 18:17, “And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? The prophet Elijah told THE TRUTH, and he was labeled as a TROUBLEMKAER for it! I am the troublemaker according to the apostate Bob Jones University.

Sadly, when I attended Pensacola Christian College (PCC) for the summer of 2021, God knows that I went in with nothing but peaceful intentions and love for everyone there. I didn't say a single word to their pastors about my website ministry, but they already knew. Their senior pastor, Jeff Redlin, shamefully accused me of “finding weaknesses” in preachers, after admittedly telling me that all their pastors took the time to look through my websites. You better believe I made a big fuss over that! RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!

I sternly but kindly rebuked Jeff Redlin, telling him that in fact I am obeying the Bible in Titus 1:13-14, “This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faithNot giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. Hey, there's those important words again: THE TRUTH! Could the inspired Scripture be any clearer? I think not. The very sad truth is that Jeff Redlin, Timothy Zacharias and their other horrible pastors at Campus Church, and the entire shallow PCC camp, don't care “that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3b).

They are serving MAMMON (a career) and not THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! They are believers who are serving themselves, playing church, while Bob Jones University and their alumni are leading tens of thousands of people into Hell forever. SHAME of Pensacola Christian College for sinfully bidding Godspeed to the unsaved Bob Jones crowd today. Somebody needs to preach THE TRUTH with authority and without apology. By God's grace I have been doing that online since April of 2002. Next month will be the 20 year anniversary of my website ministry. To God be ALL the glory, credit and praise, for Jesus said: “without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5b).

So, yes, praise God, I am the TROUBLEMAKER, just like wicked Ahab called Elijah. I am the bad guy according to wicked Jeff Redlin at PCC, because I expose false teachers in the Bob Jones camp who endorse Pastor John MacArthur's Satanic Lordship Salvation mess in California. Dr. MacArthur boasts of being a 5-point Calvinist! John MacArthur actually teaches that Jesus didn't have God's blood flowing in His veins! Like in the 2008 movie, I'll gladly be The Dark Knight like Batman, who was blamed for the crimes committed by Two-Faced Harvey Dent, so he could be the fall guy and save Gotham City from ruin.

So, amen, for Jesus Christ I'll be the outcast, the vagrant, the offensive preacher who couldn't get along with anybody in the Bob Jones University or Pensacola Christian College camps, because they have succumbed to doctrines of devils. In truth, I love them enough to be willing to lose their love and friendship, so that they might be sound in the Christian faith (Galatians 4:16-17; Titus 1:10-14; Ephesians 5:11; Jude 1:3; Matthew 12:36; Galatians 6:7; Proverbs 30:5-6). I am on the side of THE TRUTH, so I know that God is on my side (Romans 3:4).

“Church is caring about people
that nobody else cares about!”

The Wickedness Of Bidding Godspeed To False Prophets

2nd John 1:1-11, “The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

I started doing something years ago which has revolutionized my Bible study. I started examining the entire passage, to get the proper context of a Scripture. For most of my Christian life I did what many preachers do, I just cherry picked a particular passage of Scripture and ran with it. Our text passage is one such Scripture, from 2nd John 1:11. The Bible warns that whosoever bids Godspeed to a false prophet is a “partaker of his evil deeds. It is an “evil deed” to preach false doctrine! The worst evil deed of all is to preach another gospel, a false gospel!

In just the first four verses above, we read the word “the truth” and “truth's sake” and “in truth” mentioned five times! Clearly, Paul was concerned about THE TRUTH. Those of you who regularly read my website articles and blogs know that I often capitalize the word “THE TRUTH,” simply because, as my friend Pastor Max Younce often teaches: “RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTER,” which is the name of this blog.

Sadly, right doctrine doesn't matter to most pastors and clergy today. Instead, they are mainly concerned about the work of administration, raising funds to keep their ministry's doors open, and keeping their board of directors happy. Nothing is ruining America today like church pulpit committees, who control what their hen-pecked pastors preach. It will be a cold day in Hell before anybody ever tells me what I can or cannot preach!!! Although the pastor is not the authority of a church (the inspired Word of God is), the pastor is supposed to preach upon the authority of the Word of God. Thus saith the Lord!!!

And nothing is ruining Bible colleges today like apostate boards of directors, dictating the spiritual condition of the institution. That is how some incompetent false teacher, like Evangelist Steve Pettit, ever got hired to be the leader of Bob Jones University since 2014. If you don't know already, prepare oh saint of God to be HORRIFIED by what Steve Pettit preaches to their 2,700 students and faculty at BJU today. That is Calvinism! That is Lordship Salvation! Sadly, this perversion of the Gospel is broadcast through the Micronesia islands by the corrupt Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. Harvest broadcasts the daily chapel services of BJU on the church's radio station KHMG 88.1 FM. It is sickening and heartbreaking that the biggest Baptist church on Guam is controlled by Satan. Payday Someday!!!

Folks, this is why I make such a fuss, and get angry oftentimes about evil, and I know God is proud of me. I often feel bad for getting really upset about heretics and their refusal to repent, but then the indwelling Holy Spirit always comforts me, as if to silently say:

“My son, you are 'HOT' concerning THE TRUTH, which pleases me. You were the only one who did the right thing at the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. You loved them enough to TELL THE TRUTH, for which that rejected and ostracized you from their selfish religious group. I have already judged them and found them guilty, it is just a matter of time until they meet their unpleasant fate. They abused you horribly David for telling them THE TRUTH. They are the evildoers, but you have been faithful my son! They hypocritically call me 'Lord, Lord,' but do not my commandments. They preach another gospel from their fake bibles, but you did what was right. Hang in there, I will vindicate you soon enough. I am proud of you David and I am with you always son.”

The Holy Spirit then reminds me of Revelation 3:15-17, where God says He would rather have us “HOT” or “COLD, but He vomits out those who are LUKEWARM. I further hear God's blessed Spirit say to my hurting soul:

"David, YOU CARE, you are not cold and lukewarm like they are. You are faithfully preaching THE TRUTH in love that I called you preach as my servant. I have called other servants to be pastors, and some missionaries, and others teachers, but I chose you to be an evangelist. A pastor comforts the afflicted; but an evangelist afflicts the comforted, and that is what you do. I want you to step on toes (Titus 1:10-14; Ephesians 5:11; Jude 1:3). Why do you think I made you to be reclusive in your personality? Have you ever noticed that in any group of people you've ever been in, eventually you end up being all alone by yourself? That is because in order to preach against the majority, I need for you to be in the minority. Yes, I made you the way I wanted you to be, so that you can preach to save many people alive, even though you are suffering in your loneliness. I will make it all up to you in eternity. You just keep preaching THE TRUTH my son, no matter what, and leave the rest up to Me!

I believe those words as much as I am saved and on my way to Heaven. Why? Simply because I TOLD THE TRUTH!!!

If Lordship Salvation is true—that you cannot go to Heaven unless you clean up your act of filth and attempt to quit sinning, and surrender all to Christ as the absolute Lord and the Master of your life, and follow Jesus no matter what the cost for the rest of your life, and live a lifestyle of repentance—then my preaching for the past 20 years online has all been in vain.

But if Lordship Salvation is false—that you get saved simply by coming to God as a guilty sinner, and BELIEVE the Gospel (i.e., the Good News of Jesus Christ crucified on the cross, buried and physically resurrected from the dead three days later)—then my preaching all these 20 years is justified, and woe unto Bob Jones University (BJU) for preaching another gospel, and woe unto Pensacola Christian College (PCC) for bidding them Godspeed (as if it doesn't really matter what we believe, just so long as we can all make money together).

The Bible teaches that it is a wicked thing to even invite false prophets into your home:

2nd John 1:9-11, “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

I hate to mention Samantha Field. She was a female student at Pensacola Christian College (PCC). Sadly, Samantha Field was violated on the property grounds of PCC. Tragically, a cold-hearted PCC staff member told her to “repent” and let the matter go.

That doesn't surprise me one bit, because that is exactly what I was told by Pastor Sean Quinlan. In 2018 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church on Guam, I was having a private conversation with a fellow Christian brother. I was warning him about the Devil's modern Bible, and to avoid the Bob Jones University camp who sell, use and promote Satan's corruptible seed. Like a fool, Pastor Quinlan felt compelled to openly rebuke me for my zeal for God's Word. He berated me and said he had been eavesdropping on my conversions for the past several months, and falsely accused me of being “OBSESSED” over the Bible.

Although he meant is an an evil accusation, I still considerate it a badge of honor. Buster, you had better believe that I am OBSSESED over the inspired Word of God!!! And so was David in the Old Testament. Psalms 119:139-140, “My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words. Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.” At first I was apologetic and kind, not wanting to argue with a pastor. But he was angry and persistent. I mentioned that Harvest Baptist Church on Guam is pulling on the same rope as the Devil by preaching Lordship Salvation, using and promoting Devil's bibles, preaching misunderstood repentance and bidding Godspeed to BJU. I was disgusted and horrified when Pastor Quinlan replied: “Harvest is our sister church!” What a fool!

Just like Samantha Field was told to let the matter go when she was violated at PCC, I was told by Pastor Sean Quinlan to let the matter go about Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, because he said: "It is none of our business what they do at Harvest Baptist Church.” Oh how wrong he is! It is our business what every institution, church or person teaches and preaches, especially if they are influencing tens of thousands of people like Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. The Bible commands godly men to “REBUKE THEM SHARPLY” (Titus 1:13). I will not let the matter go, and neither should Samantha Field.

Wrong is wrong wherever it rears its ugly head! The big problem at PCC is that their incompetent pastors at Campus Church aren't teaching them properly. They are failing to pay attention to the details. When I attended Campus Church for the summer of 2021, Pastor Redlin sinfully believed some slander that he had heard about me, and he condemned me for it, which is unjust. Consequently, he threatened me that I had better “walk circumspectly” if I were to be allowed to attended Campus Church. Folks, Jeff Redlin is too big for his britches! Redlin is a sinner just like anybody else. Sadly, they operate Campus Church like a big prison complex, with security guards screening every person who drives or steps foot onto PCC's property to attend church or go to college. PCC is much like a secretive cult today.

I have learned firsthand that Pensacola Christian College and their alumni sinfully bid Godspeed to the Satanic Bob Jones University camp today, making them partakers of their evil deeds.

Ellen G. White and Steve Pettit Agree On Lordship Salvation

Dr. Pettit is a corrupt false prophet, who requires works for salvation. In the following quote from Miss Ellen G. White's book, “Steps To Christ,” she teaches Lordship Salvation (which is a works-based false plan of salvation). She is essentially teaching the EXACT SAME heresy as Steve Pettit:
“That so-called faith in Christ which professes to release men from the obligation of obedience to God, is not faith, but presumption. 'By grace are ye saved through faith.' But 'faith, if it hath not works, is dead.'” —Miss Ellen G. White, 'Steps To Christ,' p. 61
As you just read, Miss White says you cannot merely get saved by faith, you have to live a lifetime of faithfulness! Steve Pettit agrees with her! He states:
“You can't just speak about getting saved, and you accepted Christ, and then that's it! There is a justification; There is a sanctification; There's ultimately a glorification, and though there are three parts, they are all part of the whole, and you cannot separate them. In order for you to qualify for the award, you have to get into the race, you have to stay in the race, and you have to finish the race. If you want to win, you have to run to the end; and winning in the Christian life is everything, because if you lose—if you don't finish—you lose everything—you lose your SOUL. And so, the Christian race is the life of faith that begins, is run, and is finished when we cross over into Heaven!” —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 11:34)
Do you see how they agree? They both teach that you can't just get born-again and that's it. They both say more is required, that you are OBLIGATED to live a life of obedience to God. This is the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation!!!

SDA legend Ellen G. White says true faith does not release men from the obligation of obedience to God; otherwise she says it is NOT faith. In other words, if you don't live the Christian life, and all the obligations it includes, you are not saved! She misinterprets James 2:17 to support her heresy that works are required to be saved. Steve Pettit and Ellen White are in doctrinal agreement. Folks, that is not regeneration! That is not the instantaneous new birth. Steve Petite has the same deadly mindset as John MacArthur.

They view salvation as beginning with faith, but then it is a PROCESS that continues your whole life, and if you don't faithfully run that race, you don't get eternal life!!! I agree that salvation is more than being saved, in the sense that after we are salvaged (born-again), God begins to recycle us for a lifetime; however, eternal life itself is a free gift, which does not require faithfully living for Christ! The former is salvation (our POSITION in Christ), the latter is discipleship (our CONDITION in Christ).

Telling The Truth Makes Enemies

Dear reader, I am not the enemy. I am not the bad guy. I am simply telling THE TRUTH, which is the fastest way to make enemies and get kicked out of churches today. I didn't start the fight with the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, they did. They did by freaking out when I loved them enough to simply share some books with their pastors. These are the books that I shared hardcopies of with them:

  1. I Never Knew You (Michael P. Bowen)
  2. NIV: The Antichrist's Bible (Pastor Al Lacy)
  3. Martin Luther: Master Of Deceit (Pastor Max D. Younce)
  4. Somebody Has Got To Milk The Cows (Pastor Jack Hyles; this is the MP3)
When freely given to Harvest's pastors on Guam, those four books were like a cat landing on a hot stove on a cold winter's day!!! They immediately counted me as their enemy, the very men whom I had considered my “friends” for the previous year. My how THE TRUTH divides families, churches and friends!!! I thought as friends they could handle THE TRUTH, but I was mistaken, they vehemently rejected it, just as did the wicked Old Testament religious leaders. Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

I suffer in my body from stenosis and radiculitis in my neck, from multiple old neck injuries. Radiculitis (or Radiculopathy) is the opposite of Peripheral Neuropathy, but has the same feeling (effects). Peripheral Neuropathy is pain, tingling and numbness caused by damage at the nerve ENDINGS (which is common in Type II diabetic sufferers); whereas Radiculopathy is pain, tingling and numbness caused by damage at the nerve ROOT (which in my case is in my spinal cord in my neck). As I type right now, I am feeling horrible burning throughout my entire body. Both of my arms feel inflated with air, and I feel sharp shooting pain into my left fingers as I type. I suffer from this all the time. Thankfully, I have better days than worse days, but I am always suffering to some degree, since 2004. It is a heavy burden, my thorn in the flesh that God uses to keep me humble, lest I be exalted above measure as the Apostle Paul said in the Bible. So I live in constant pain and discomfort, which makes things difficult.

Since I suffer in constant pain, it compels me to always pull for little people, the underdog, the truth, the person nobody wants, the unpopular King James Bible, and Jesus Christ Who was led outside the gate of the camp. I admit that I am emotionally sensitive. Being in pain and bodily discomfort makes me even more sensitive. I have little patience with abusive pastors! I know that God is good and ethical. I have always believed that since I am suffering more than most people, and it requires more sacrifice for me to sit here at my computer for 50-60 hours each and every week (on average) laboring on my website ministry for the past 20 years, that Jesus Christ Whom I faithfully serve will reward me more greatly. Some mean people have said that since I only have a website, and not a church ministry, that I am wasting my time and God won't reward me. But that is not what the Bible teaches!

In 1st Corinthians 3:8b we read that every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. The Bible does not place any stipulations on this labor, except that a person by saved. God will not reward the good works performed by an unsaved person. Ezekiel 33:13, “When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it. Anybody who trusts IN HIS OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, his good works shall not be remembered by God in eternity.

What saith the Scripture? Matthew 7:22-23, “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” These sincere people did many wonderful works. They did good deeds. They followed Christ loyally as their “Lord.” Yet Jesus denied knowing them as His sheep!!! You see friend, you don't get to Heaven by following Jesus Christ. You don't get to Heaven by your own righteousness. You get to Heaven by simply ceasing from all your human efforts, and just RESTING the Good News of Jesus Christ.

God's plan of salvation is so simple. You simply come to God as a guilty sinner, placing your trust in what Christ did to pay for your sins on the cross of Calvary. Simply receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as full-payment for your sins, believing that He is risen from the dead (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). That's it, that's all, no more. Nothing more is required or permitted to get to Heaven. Anybody who adds or subtracts from Paul's Gospel is preaching a perversion of God's grace! We ought not bid Godspeed to those who preach a different gospel, not to even invite them into our homes for any reason.

There is a woeful spirit if indifference at Pensacola Christian College (PCC) today. Their wicked pastors are burying their heads in the sand, like their isn't a big problem today. PCC has a history of not fighting in what Pastor Jack Hyles rightly called: “The Battle Of The Ages,” over the inspiration and purity of the Word of God today. Sadly, Pensacola Christian College is A.W.O..L. from the battle, letting people like me doing all the dirty work of offending liars, false teachers and infidels.

PCC refuses to expose the Devil's Bible. They refuse to contend for the Christian faith (Jude 1:3). Long ago I thought it was just because the PCC camp just wanted to be left alone, but not so. The truth is that they are hobnobbing with wicked institutions like Bob Jones University, that use and promote the Devil's Bibles, false repentance, Lordship Salvation, sinfully bidding Godspeed to them. 2nd John 1:11, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

All of my thousands of articles over the past several years, which I've written in protest of and to expose the BJU and PCC camps is all because they are all corrupt. BJU is of the Devil today, preaching another accursed gospel of Lordship Salvation. And PCC shamefully coddles, supports and bids them Godspeed, never saying a word publicly against them. SHAME on Pensacola Christian College!!! SHAME on Pastor Jeff Redlin for belittling me and my website ministry. Pastors should be commending me for contending for the faith, not berating and discouraging me.

Pastor Jeff Redlin draws an undeserved salary of over $100,000 a year at Campus Church, and he won't contend for the faith. Yet, I have never made a single penny over the past 20 years for preaching online. What does that say? It says that the wrong people are getting paid. Jeff Redlin is getting way overpaid to hurt people, by leading them into apostasy with the Satanic Bob Jones crowd. I am being your friend FOR FREE! I am warning you about these infidels, compromisers and hen-pecked worthless pastors!!! Who is really your friend? Jesus warned in Luke 16:13 that NO MAN can serve God and mammon. Anytime that money gets involved, apostasy sets in like it has already at Pensacola Christian College. What a shame!

What Is Biblical Repentance?

Mark 1“John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.”

Baptism And Repentance

There is a great misunderstanding about “repentance.” Such verses as Mark 1:4 confuse many people because they do not take into account the rest of the Bible. Mark 1:4 reads, “John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.” By itself, this verse seems like It is teaching Baptismal Regeneration, but it certainly is NOT.

Mark 1:4 is referenced in Acts 11:16, “Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.” And a few verses later in Acts 11:21 we read, “And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.” This is Biblical repentance... acknowledging one's guilt of sin and turning to the Lord by faith in the Gospel to be saved. Jesus doesn't forgive sin. Jesus paid for our sins on the cross! Jesus forgives our sins by paying for them. Thus, forgiveness is a gift to those who BELIEVE THE GOSPEL.

Here's a doctrinally sound excellent book on baptism, “A Biblical Examination Of Baptism” (.pdf book by Dr. Max Younce).

The ONLY thing that you need to repent of to be saved is whatever it is that's been keeping you from coming to Christ to be saved, which is YOUR UNBELIEF. You must set aside your OWN WORKS and rest completely in Jesus Christ because of what HE DID to pay our debt of sin through Calvary's cross (Hebrews 4:10-11). Jesus shed His blood and sprinkled that precious blood upon the heavenly Mercy Seat (Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 12:24).

Please note that NO mention of baptism is found in Acts 11 other than the one reference to John the Baptist in verse 16. Clearly, water baptism was not required for their salvation in Acts 16, just is it has never been required. John preached the same Gospel of Jesus Christ, as we preach today, that is, salvation by grace through faith in Christ's sacrifice on the cross, His burial, and bodily resurrection the third day, plus or minus nothing (Ephesians 2:8-9).
The “Repent Of Your Sins” Heresy (Awesome! The Bible says that God “repented”—was it from His sins?)

(excellent preaching by Pastor Steven L. Anderson)

Dr. Jack Hyles 100% correctly and Biblically states concerning repentance:
“Repentance is not some little silly, 'I'm sorry.' Repentance is not simply a fear of God. Repentance is not a monk fasting and afflicting his body in a monastery. Repentance is not remorse because of sin's consequences. Repentance is not penance performed before the pope as you kiss his toe... Repentance is not being sorry for what I've done wrong. It is not confessing one's sins to a priest. It is not just conviction of sin. It is not the signing of a pledge of abstinence. Repentance is that thing when you come before God and see yourself as you are, and see Him as he is, and say with Isaiah 'Woe is me, for I am unclean!'” —Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001), a quote from the timeless MP3 sermon, THE GOODNESS OF GOD LEADETH TO REPENTANCE!

Baptism Of Repentance (Or, Repentance Unto Life)

Biblical repentance is simply TURNING UNTO THE LORD by faith to receive the gift of forgiveness for one's sins. Acts 20:21 speaks of “REPENTANCE TOWARD GOD.” Acts 11:18 reads, “When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.” Repentance is a gift from God, a grace not of human works.

Notice that the Bible does NOT call this a repentance from sins. The “baptism of repentance” in Mark 1:4 is clearly not referring to water baptism, but to the “baptism of repentance.” This is the repentance unto life which can only be found in Christ Jesus. The Word of God does NOT teach that we must give up our sins to be saved.

If this were true, then no one could be saved because we are all sinners incapable of ceasing from sin. Even the best of Christians still commit sin! Believers shouldn't commit sin, but the fact of the matter is that we all do. So how can you tell an unsaved person to give up their sins to be saved? What percentage of sins must a person give up to be saved? The answer is none! Christ bore the weight of our sins upon the cross so that we wouldn't have to. Anyone who places the weight of sin upon the sinner's shoulder is preaching a false Gospel. Our part in salvation is simply to acknowledge that we are a guilty sinner in God's eyes and BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. Jesus paid it all!!!

As I mentioned, there is a woeful misunderstanding about repentance circulating in our churches today. Again, Acts 11:21 states, “And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.” Biblical repentance is TURNING to Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus doesn't forgive sin; but rather, He paid for our sins on the cross. 1st John 2:12, “I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.” Yet, believers are taught in 1st John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” So we see that Jesus does in fact FORGIVE SIN. It is a change of mind. Mark 1:15 proclaims, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Notice here that repentance led to believing the gospel—NO mention is made about making a commitment to God, nor forsaking sinful bad habits.

'Repentance From Sin' For Salvation Is Not Taught Anywhere In The Bible (by Dr. Don Boyd)

So do believers have a license to sin? In the sense that salvation cannot be lost, yes. Evangelist Ray Comfort does not believe that; but rather, he errantly says in his THE EVIDENCE BIBLE that believers are “not safe just because Jesus died on the cross.” Thus, Mr. Comfort believes that there is no eternal security for believers who choose to live in sin. God does not give permission to any Christian to continue in sin (Romans 3:21). A believer's Christian walk has absolutely nothing to do with his salvation. Eternal life is a free gift. You Are Not Saved By Repenting, You Are Saved By Your Faith In Jesus Christ (Pastor Danny Castle).

Some of the best help in understanding repentance comes from Pastor Harry Ironside. Please consider the following quotations:

Dr. Harry Ironside On Repentance

"Repentance is the sinner’s recognition of and acknowledgment of his lost estate" (Except Ye Repent, p. 11).

"No one was ever saved in any dispensation excepting by grace. Neither sacrificial observances, nor ritual service, nor works of law ever had any part in justifying the ungodly. Nor were any sinners ever saved by grace until they repented. Repentance is not opposed to grace; it is the recognition of the need of grace. ‘They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick’" (Except Ye Repent, p. 10).
"There is no saving merit in owning my true condition. There is no healing in acknowledging the nature of my illness. And repentance, as we have seen, is just this very thing" (Except Ye Repent, p. 12).

"Need I add that repentance then is not to be considered synonymous with joining a church or taking up one's religious duties, as people say. It is not doing anything." (Except Ye Repent, p. 14).
I think the following quote From Dr. Ironside is one of the best I've found on repentance:
“Which comes first, repentance or faith? In Scripture we read, 'Repent ye, and believe the gospel.' Yet we find true believers exhorted to 'repent, and do the first works.' So intimately are the two related that you cannot have one without the other. The man who believes God repents; the repentant soul puts his trust in the Lord when the Gospel is revealed to him. Theologians may wrangle over this, but the fact is, no man repents until the Holy Spirit produces repentance in his soul through the truth. No man believes the Gospel and rests in it for his own salvation until he has judged himself as a needy sinner before God. And this is repentance.” (Except Ye Repent, p. 16).

To Schism Or Not To Schism, That Is The Question

1st Corinthians 12:25, “That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.”

False Knowledge Is More Dangerous Than Ignorance!

I wish today's pastors were preachers! I wish today's pastors hated the ungodly Bible perversions like I do. The Bible commands all believers who love the Lord to HATE EVIL (Psalms 97:10). I heard one foolish preacher (Sean Quinlan, former pastor of the Lighthouse Baptist Church on Guam) say that he didn't want any “schisms” in his church. He said this in regard to me exposing the Devil's Alexandrian-based modern Bible perversions. But dear reader, that is not what the Apostle Paul meant in 1st Corinthians 12:25, “That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.” To understand what the Holy Bible means by “schisms,” we must read the surrounding context:
1st Corinthians 12:21-25, “But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.”
The Scriptures plainly teach that it is wrong thinking to esteem some members of the Body of Christ as being more honorable (valuable) than others. So here we clearly see in the preceding passage of Scripture, that it is sinful to selectively choose who we are going to care about in the church, and who we don't care about. What a horrible thing it is today, when pastors and church staff pick and choose who they will reach out to, who they will befriend, and who doesn't matter to them. Harvest Baptist Guam on Guam (the largest Baptist church on the island) decided that I am not important to them, and I am feeble and unnecessary in their view. They refused to even take time to pray with me when I requested their help in 2017.

I humbly pleaded with Pastor Marty Herron in 2017, to please let me serve the Lord in some voluntary capacity at the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, but he refused. I explained to Pastor Herron that I am a graduate of Hyles-Anderson College. I offered to voluntarily gladly clean toilets at their church for the Lord. I just wanted to help the local Baptist church. I couldn't have been more humble. Yet Pastor Herron's exact cruel and heartless sinful words to me that he wrote were: “Go elsewhere.” Unfortunately at the time, and in the next 7 years to come, I had nowhere else to go, so I didn't attend church for 7 long, lonely and emotionally painful years.

Kindly said, all Pastor Herron cared about was his fat undeserved 6-digit paycheck from Harvest! No wonder Jesus warned in Luke 16:13 that NO MAN can serve God and mammon (materialism). I reasonably felt hated, unloved and unwanted by Harvest Baptist Church, especially at Christmas and other holidays, being left out of their celebrations. My greatest comfort was from the blessed inspired Scriptures, knowing that my own beloved Savior suffered the same cruel and painful despisement and rejection by people:
Isaiah 53:3-5, “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Birds of a feather flock together. They are all apostate churches on Guam who are associated with Bob Jones University (BJU) and Pensacola Christian College (PCC), pulling on the same rope as the Devil. The PCC camp shamefully bids Godspeed to Harvest (who promote Calvinism and corruptible seed). By “corruptible seed” I am referring to the Satanic modern Bible perversions! It is shocking to me how so few pastors today are concerned about the corruption of God's Word. If you're not upset, you're not paying attention! It ought to be as code-blue in an emergency room, when someone is dying! I say, awake to righteousness!

The following comparison of Zechariah 13:6 from a handful of Bible versions is worth 1,000 words! This picture shows the evils behind today's corrupt Bible revisions. Ungodly Bible translators today aren't even trying anymore to get the Holy Bible accurate, they're just butchering the Holy Bible to change it so they can obtain a legal copyright to sell it. The picture below PROVES it! ...

The Holy Bible Has Been Corrupted, Merely So That
Greedy People Can Obtain A Legal U.S. Copyright To Sell It!

For exposing these falsehoods I have been kicked out of churches, abused and mistreated by BAD PASTORS. The incompetent pastors of Harvest Baptist Church on Guam berated and humiliated me, because I faithfully TOLD THE TRUTH!!! God is my witness. Romans 3:4, “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.”

Check online and you will see that homosexuals prefer the New International Version (NIV), whose chairman of the Old Testament translating committee, Marten Woudstra, was an open homosexual. Check online and you will see that the Satanic cult of Jehovah's Witnesses, prefer the 1881 corrupt Westcott and Hort Greek texts, upon which ALL of today's Bible perversions are based or influenced. The perverse New King James Version (NKJV) is allegedly based upon the Textus Receptus, but in fact it is saturated with notes endorsing the corrupt Alexandrian texts, and the translation itself is CORRUPT!

Folks, when the Apostle Paul warned against any “schism” in the Body of Christ (1st Corinthians 12:25), he meant that there should not be cliques in the church. That is, no bigshots, where men are envying and competing one with another for the attention of the flock, fighting over popularity. “I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?” (1st Corinthians 1:12-13). Paul teaches that just as a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, so also is the church only as strong is the least saint. In other words, all for one and one for all. We're in this thing together! That's how God intended for the church to be, where we love one another in harmony and unity, without unnecessary divisions among us that divide the flock and hinder the work of God.

But hear me out! The Bible is NOT saying that we ought refrain from speaking the truth about evil. Sadly, Harvest Baptist Church on Guam is a house divided. They tolerate two Bible sources (major and minor texts). They tolerate two plans of salvation (the Gospel and Lordship Salvation). They favor wealthy people in their church over expendable people like me, nobodies in the Lord. We must expose the satanic lie of Calvinism, which is Galatianism (i.e., partial faith in Christ plus works for salvation). We must expose the Devil's counterfeit Bible versions. Was Paul causing a schism in the church of Galatia by exposing their lies? Paul was splitting their church! Yet it was Biblical.

The pastor of the Lighthouse Baptist Church on Guam, Sean Quinlan, falsely accused me of thinking that I am an
apostle. In his small brain, he thinks I don't have a right to speak out against heresy in the churches today. Only an ignorant pastor would say that only an apostle has the right to expose heresy, but men of God today don't. Since we don't have any apostles today, Pastor Quinlan is effectively saying that no one has a right to expose a wayward pastor or church that has succumbed to false teaching, sin or corrupt Bibles. No wonder America is going to Hell!!! YES WE DO HAVE A RIGHT, AND A DUTY, according to Titus 1:10-14 and Ephesians 5:11 to REBUKE THEM SHARPLYthat they might be sound in the faith (Titus 1:13).

May I remind you that Titus was not an apostle either, but the apostle Paul wrote to Titus (one of his converts) in the Epistle of Titus (Titus 1:3), and to me, and to you my dear Christian brother and sister!!! If only the apostles had the Biblical right to preach against error and lukewarm churches, then Paul never would have taught Titus to rebuke false prophets sharply that they might be sound in the faith (Titus 1:10-13). Titus wasn't an apostle either!!!

Bob Jones University tragically has become a Satanic cesspool of hardcore Calvinism, wrong repentance, Devil's Bibles and the demonic heresy of Lordship Salvation. I fully agree with the following quote by Evangelist Billy Sunday's biographer, William T. Ellis:
“We've got churches, lots of them. We've got preachers, seminaries, and they are turning out preachers and putting them into little theological molds and keeping them there until they get cold enough to practice preaching.” —Billy Sunday, “Criticism and Criticism” (chapter 18), from his biography by William T. Ellis titled, “Billy Sunday: The Man And His Message.”

What Does The Bible Say About Tithing?

Malachi 3:8-11, “Will a man rob God?  Yet ye have robbed me.  But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee?  In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.  And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.” 2nd Corinthians 9:7, "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."

Boy, that passage from Malachi 3:8-11 is the GO TO passage for every covetous pastor in the world. Well over 95% of Baptist preachers abuse this Scripture passage! Folks, RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS! There's not a better example of bad Bible interpretation than what nearly all Baptist preachers do to butcher this passage from Malachi 3:8-11. Will a man rob God? Boy, that sure will preach, won't it? The big problem is that tithing is not for today!

The word "tithe" means "one tenth." It was a Jewish custom in the Old Testament, instituted by God to support the priestly tribe of the Levites. Hence, tithing is NOT a New Testament command for Christians. Certainly, God loveth a cheerful giver. 2nd Corinthians 9:7, "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." There's the key... as every man has PURPOSED IN HIS HEART. Giving is a personal matter, of which we all must choose as individuals. It is very wrong for pastors to browbeat their people, threatening them with God's wrath if they don't give tithes & offerings.

In Malachi 3:8 God was upset with the Jews for not tithing. Their own homes were well taken care of, while the Temple of God had become dilapidated and broken down over the past 19 years. Strangers passing through Israel saw the neglected Temple, which brought shame on God's people. But things are different in modern times. We are not obligated to give a certain amount to God. Nor are we obligated to give to a certain church, ministry, nor to a certain pastor. I have heard countless pastors preach that people are "robbing God" based upon Malachi 3:8, by not giving both "tithes and offerings."

Kindly said, when I was still a teenager, my pastor used to teach that by tithing 10% we hadn't given God anything yet, we simply handed over what we owed Him. The pastor insisted that we must give MORE (5% being the usual suggested amount). We had it engrained into our minds that you were commanded by God to donate both tithes AND offerings!!! And if you didn't, you were a dirty thief who is robbing God almighty!

None of this tommyrot is Biblical. Yet, millions of believers out of a misguided sense of guilty donate tithes & offerings. And also, most preachers teach that we must give tithes & offerings of our Gross Income (what we earn before taxes are removed). Again, that is balderdash! That is false teaching. If a man or woman is wealthy, they should give God more. Dr. Russell Anderson grew up in eastern Kentucky, working in the coal mines. In time he got involved in the construction business, worked hard, and started investing in rental properties and real estate. Dr. Anderson (now 92 years old) amassed a fortune of $100,000,000.

He has given at least $50,000,000 to the work of Jesus Christ. Dr. Anderson gave $35,000,000 to Hyles-Anderson College, where I attended and graduated (1985-1993). Dr. Anderson also gave another $8,000,000 to the First Baptist Church Of Hammond, Indiana to build their new church building. Sadly, the church and college CHANGED their position on the Holy Bible in 2008, publicly denying the inspiration of the King James Bible. Dr. Anderson rightly withdrew his support of FBCH and HAC, humbling requesting in 2015 that Pastor John Wilkerson please remove his name from the college after whom he is co-named. They refused to do so, dishonoring Dr. Anderson.

Of course, Brother Anderson gave all that money to Jesus Christ, and he hasn't lost any rewards for cheerfully giving to God's work. The blood is upon the incompetent hands of their new leaders at FBCH (which controls HAC). It is all so tragic and sad. Dr. Russell Anderson deserves so much better than to be mistreated, ignored and humiliated by a small group of arrogant wicked men who have hi-jacked FBCH and HAC. It blows my mind that they no longer believe we have God's inspired Words today! Anyway, I mentioned Dr. Anderson as one example of someone who became rich and gave MUCH MORE than 10% to God.

So in summary, God clearly wants every believer in the churches to financially support the work of God. 1st Corinthians 16:2, "Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come." The Bible says to give according to how much God has PROSPERED us, not according to how much the pastor threatens us to give, or else our house will burn down and our kids will get sick and die. I have actually heard pastors teach that horrible kind of stuff!

Granted, there wouldn't be any missionaries without donations to churches. Someone's got to pay the bills. I think it is fine for pastors to ask their church members if they will please consider giving 10%, or whatever, BUT it is SINFUL to require a 10% tithe which God does NOT require. It is wicked to tell people that they are robbing God by not giving 10%, and that they must give offerings above and beyond their 10% tithe. None of that is Biblical. So I am not against giving to the work of God, we all should give to God's work as God has prospered us, using sound wisdom; but how much we give and whether we personally choose to give SACRIFICIALLY is completely up to us, not by commandment of God.

I could write a book on tithing. I am so disgusted with lying pastors. Dr. Jack Hyles didn't believe in giving money to parachurch ministries. He believed that it funneled much needed resources away from New Testament churches. But Dr. John R. Rice (who was Dr. Hyles' mentor and 31 years older than him) taught that believers can give money wherever they want, not just to a church, which doesn't surprise me because Brother Rice ran a parachurch ministry (i.e., The Sword Of The Lord, founded in 1934). So we see how each man's ministry situation influenced their doctrinal views...lol.

I tend to agree with Pastor Hyles. Way too much money is being foolishly given to idiots like Pat Robertson (The 700 Club). Pat Robertson and company take in about $650,000,000 each year! They lie to people, promising divine healing through their TV set in exchange for donations. That is so wrong on multiple levels. Ray Comfort is a religious clown, who never gets anybody saved with his Lordship Salvation heresy. Mr. Comfort takes in about $3,500,000 per year!

And Ken Ham makes me vomit, taking in about $37,000,000 a year. Mr. Ham falsely requires people to repent "of your sin" to be saved, which is KEEPING THE LAW. That is another gospel. Sadly, Pastor Clarence Sexton 100% supports Ken Ham. So also does Pensacola Christian College, helping to make Mr. Ham even more filthy rich. The churches are deprived of all that money! Ken Ham takes in 222 times each year what the average church receives in annual donations (about $90,000). That bothers me immensely! Why does Ken Ham need all that cheddar? I mean, filthy lucre?

I believe that Christians need to re-think where we give our money. Our money is actually God's money, all of it. We have been bought with a price (1st Corinthians 6:20). That price is the precious blood of Jesus (1st Peter 1:18-19). The moment we got saved, everything we own became God's. Having said all that. I think we should help to support our local church, according to their needs, not wants. I have a hard time donating God's money, which He has entrusted to me, to a church whose pastors take bi-annual trips to the Holy Land.

The now spiritually defunct Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, used to do that for many years, taking dozens of church members on bi-annual trips to Israel. Their incompetent senior pastor Marty Herron was living large, flying all around the world, having a good time. Meanwhile from the pulpit they pressured their congregation to "give sacrificially until it hurts." What hypocrisy! I know because I was there for the years of 2013-2014.

It immensely bothers me that of all the resources people have to offer God (time, talent, skills, et cetera), the one thing that pastors want the most is MONEY! Comedian George Carlin used to say that God is omnibenevolent, omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent; but He seems to have a problem with His finances because He is always broke and needs money! I thought that was funny. Sad but true, Christianity has been turned into a BUSINESS in America!

So I think we should give to our local church, but cautiously, not blindly. We ought not help bad churches spread a false gospel of Lordship Salvation, misunderstood repentance or Calvinism. We ought not give money to bad pastors who merely collect a salary and the church is nothing more than a glorified social club with four walls and a roof. I think we should give to a soulwinning work.

The Baptist church I am now attending is struggling. They don't have any organized time to go soulwinning. I handed the senior pastor a hardcopy of the helpful book: "I Never Knew You," last month by Michael P. Bowen. He thanked me and that was the end of the matter. I didn't ask him what he thought of the book, nor did he tell me. It was simply F.Y.I. to help him, so now he has no excuse on Judgment Day if he embellishes the Gospel and misleads people. I believe the pastor is saved, but he irritates me by continually teaching people to "have a relationship with Jesus" to get to Heaven.

Although every child of God has a RELATIONSHIP as God's adopted child (Romans 8:15), there is no mention of starting a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus to get saved. When asked how to be saved, Paul and Silas told the Roman jailor in Acts 16:31, "BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST." I don't like when preachers use unbiblical terms, like having a "relationship" with Jesus to get to Heaven. Judas had a relationship with Jesus, but he had a devil in him (John 6:70). The pastor of the church I am attending makes it clear that we cannot save ourselves, Jesus paid it all on the cross.

So I do believe that he is saved, but he has been trained poorly in my humble opinion. I just keep my mouth shut, take the good and leave the bad. That is all I can do, without losing another church family. I have already handed the pastor THE TRUTH. I have done my part. Now I will continue to pray for him. I love the church, I just get frustrated hearing a shallow Gospel presentation. The Gospel (or Good News) is three things: Jesus DIED on the cross for our sins; He was BURIED; and He RESURRECTED three days later physically (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). That is "THE GOSPEL," not pursuing a "relationship" with Jesus. Arrggh! Preachers... gotta love 'em!

I do believe in giving to God's work, cheerfully so, to a worthy ministry that is fulfilling The Great Commission (Matthew 18:19-20). But donating money to a parachurch charity, like the Salvation Army, is not the same as giving to a soulwinning local church. The Salvation Army preaches Calvinism (point 9 in their statement of faith). They teach that salvation is a "state" which can be forfeited by unfaithfulness. That is NOT a free grace Gospel. As Dr. Hyles says: "The 'Salvation Army' today is more ARMY than SALVATION!" They pay their CEO a compensation package of about $300,000 a year! Not bad for "serving" God as a so-called non-profit charity.

I won't give money to ANY group that pays a 6-digit salary to anyone! That is disgusting. Just because that is the way things are in the United States doesn't mean it is ethical or that I have to accept it. The average American's annual salary today is about $50,000 a year. I have a problem with the leaders of a "charity" getting paid $450,000 a year! The Bible teaches us to "give alms" to the poor. I would rather just give it directly to the poor, and eliminate the middle guy who is making $175,000 a year salary.

Tithing is NOT for today! It was a Jewish practice under Old Testament ceremonial law, which were all nailed to the cross (Colossians 2:14-16). We ought to give cheerfully. I honestly think that the Lord doesn't want our money if we have reservations about giving it to Him. One of the big problems is that too many pastors have a bunch of projects that they are working on, like king Solomon, expecting their people to pay for it all. So many churches create a bunch of unnecessary expenditures.

When I attended Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College last summer, they spent $10,000 to replace the carpeting in one of their buildings which they use for banquets and a dining hall. The former red carpeting looked very nice in my humble opinion. They replaced it with puke green, which looks awful. It used to look bright and cheerful, but now it looks so dreary and depressing! What a big waste of the Lord's money!

Also, I don't think anybody should ever give money to a church on credit. God doesn't want us to go into debt for our church, while our pastor doesn't. I hate when pastors do that. When normal people need more money, we have to sign up to work overtime; but when pastors need more money, they just browbeat and pressure people from the pulpit. Since people love their pastors and God, they almost always succumb to such pressure. That has always bothered me, that some pastors take advantage of their people financially. The Bible says that if a man doesn't take care of his own family, he is worse than an infidel (a Christ rejecter).

I heard Pastor Hyles say in a sermon last night called: "The Most Important Preparation For A Happy Old Age," that the saying "Charity starts at home," is false. Dr. Hyles says we ought to give charity to everybody. I humbly disagree with him, and so does the Bible. 1st Timothy 5:8, "But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel." So charity does indeed start at home, where it should!

When I attended Bible college, we had some male students who would buy shoes for their bus kids, while their own biological children needed new shoes! That is wrong! Some of those men would spend all day Saturday on their bus route ministry labouring to fill a bus on Sunday, but didn't spend time with their own family. So I am a firm believer that charity starts at home!

The bottom line is that everyone has a right to their own OPINION, but no one has a right to their own FACTS! The fact of the matter is that tithing was a Jewish custom for Old Testament saints only, not for New Testament Christians today. Whether we should give donations to local churches is irrelevant to the question of whether tithing is valid today or not. No, it is not! I believe we definitely should give financially to support God's work, diligently so; but we must give responsibly, not out of fear, obligation or high-pressure tactics from the pulpit.

The Deadly Corrupt Preaching Of Pastor Roland Rasmussen

Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

Pastor Roland M. Rasmussen (1916-2020), was a great man, but not a godly man. Job 32:9-10, “Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment. Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.” Proverbs 16:31, “The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.” Kindly said, pastor Rasmussen was not a born-again Christian! No way, as I will show you.

The following is a critical review of Pastor Roland Rasmussen's heretical open letter (dated December 12, 1996) to Dr. Shelton Smith (editor of the Sword of the Lord). The open letter was titled: “Repentance Versus the Heresies of Curtis Hutson & Jack Hyles.” Sadly, Pastor Rasmussen publicly attacked Pastor's Curtis Hutson and Jack Hyles for preaching salvation by faith alone! Dr. Rasmussen taught that to be saved a person must also turn away from a lifestyle of sinning. This is the SAME demonic garbage preached by the Bob Jones University crowd today!!!

*Robert N. Wilkin (Th.M., PhD, Dallas Theological Seminary) is the Founder and Executive Director of Grace Evangelical Society and co-host of Grace in Focus Radio. He lives in Highland Village, TX with his wife, Sharon.

'Repentance Versus the Heresies of Curtis Hutson & Jack Hyles': An Open Letter (dated Dec. 12, 1996) to Dr. Shelton Smith, Editor of Sword of the Lord. By Roland Rasmussen. Published in pamphlet form by Faith Baptist Church of Canoga Park, CA. 21 pp.

Here is Pastor Wilkin's excellent critique of Dr. Roland Rasmussen's deadly false doctrine, and a valiant defense of the free grace Gospel...
Having written my doctoral dissertation on repentance and salvation, I read this booklet with keen interest. As the title suggests, this booklet could hardly be described as irenic; it is a strong attack on the Free Grace view of the gospel.

Its thesis is that faith alone is not sufficient to save anyone. According to Rasmussen, sorrow for sin and turning from sins are also required for salvation.

This raises a problem for anyone who believes in justification by faith alone. How can justification be by faith alone if remorse and “abandonment of sin” (p. 13) are also required? However, seemingly unaware that what he is saying contradicts justification by faith alone, Rasmussen rebukes the late Dr. Hutson for teaching that faith and repentance are synonyms. Hutson advocated the change-of-mind view also held by such men as Drs. Lewis Sperry Chafer and Charles C. Ryrie. Rasmussen directly states that “faith and repentance are not the same” (p. 19, though no page numbers appear in the booklet). Clearly there can be no other conclusion than that for Rasmussen there are at least two (or even three) conditions of salvation: 1) faith, and 2) remorse over—and turning from—one’s sins. Faith isn’t enough. Nor are faith and remorse enough (see p. 13). All three are required.

Rasmussen doesn’t say, but one wonders which sins must be abandoned? How would a person seeking salvation know what he or she had to give up in order to be saved? Should we carry around a list of the sins which must be forsaken? If so, where do we get this list? Does the Bible contain a list of sins that must be forsaken to gain the free gift of eternal life? Logically, if sins must be abandoned, then all sins must be abandoned. That would include both sins of commission—things we do which we are commanded not to do (such as lying, cheating, stealing, coveting, being jealous, having outbursts of anger, etc.) and sins of omission—things we fail to do but are commanded to do (such as praying without ceasing, giving, loving our neighbor as ourselves, owing no man anything, loving your wife as Christ loves the church, submitting to your husband, etc.).

There are many biblical difficulties inherent in the view that one must abandon his sins in order to gain eternal salvation—none of which is answered in the booklet. According to the Gospel of John, the only book in the Bible whose express purpose is evangelistic (John 20:31), the only condition of eternal life is believing in Jesus. Repentance isn’t mentioned even once.

Jesus didn’t tell the woman at the well in John 4:17-18ff that she needed to be sorry for her sins, or that she needed to resolve to give them up. Nor did John indicate that she was sorry, or that she determined to turn from her sins.

Likewise in Acts 15:7-11; 16:30-31 and Ephesians 2:8-9 there is no mention of remorse or turning from sins. Salvation is not of works, lest anyone should boast.

If even one passage in Scripture clearly shows that a person is saved by faith alone, apart from remorse or turning from sins (and many do), then we can be sure that faith is the only requirement, since Scripture is without error and doesn’t contradict itself.

This booklet contains three citations from seventeenth century Baptist creeds which adopt the view that to be saved one must have remorse for his sins and must either resolve to amend his life or else actually endeavor to do so. While this is interesting, I wonder what it proves. The issue, which surely Rasmussen would agree with, is what the Scriptures teach, not the Council of Trent, Vatican II, the Westminster Confession of Faith, or the Second London Confession of 1688 (one of the Baptist Creeds Rasmussen cites). Even if every Baptist who ever lived held Rasmussen’s view—and thank God they have not—if the Scriptures don’t teach that view, then it must be rejected.

Herein lies the major weakness of Rasmussen’s presentation: The author devotes only about one page (part of pp. 15 and 16) in an effort to show that his position is biblical. Interestingly, in none of the limited passages he cites is salvation even mentioned! The closest is Luke 13:3, which says, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” That text in no way proves Rasmussen’s view. In the first place, some commentators feel that Jesus was speaking of perishing physically. Jesus may well have been promising that, apart from national repentance, Israel would fall and be removed from the promised land and many Jews would die. (This is what happened in the Jewish Wars of A.D. 66-70.) In the second place, even if this is referring to individuals and eternal condemnation, one must still determine what Jesus meant here by “repent” (metanoeō). Rasmussen fails to show contextual evidence that it doesn’t mean “change of mind regarding Christ,” as Hutson and Hyles would presumably argue. In fact, he merely cites the verse and moves on, with not a word of comment about it.

Rasmussen would like for Sword of the Lord to adopt his view of the gospel. Fortunately, that isn’t likely to happen, since Sword of the Lord has long stood for the clear gospel, the free gift of eternal life received by faith alone in Christ alone.

Salvation is not a reward for the righteous, it is a gift for the guilty!

Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith.

Turning away from sinful ways would be a work. Faith puts all of the merit where it belongs, on the object of our faith, Jesus and His work.

If to “repent” means to forsake our sinful ways TO BE SAVED, but Jesus already paid for our sins by dying on the cross, then what are we repenting from?

The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU.

We must stay true to the simplicity of the gospel!! Repentance regarding salvation is a change of mind from unbelief to belief!!! We must earnestly contend for the faith (Jude 1:3).

Interestingly, according to Pastor Steven L. Anderson of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona, it was Pastor Roland Rasmussen who led both of Brother Anderson's parents to the Lord. That is disturbing! How can an infidel win others to Christ? Pastor Anderson rightly preaches that no one can be saved who adds keeping the deeds of the law (i.e., turning away from sin) to be saved. Read what the Apostle Paul said to rebuke the Bob Jones University, John MacArthur and Roland Rasmussen crowd of their time in the first century:

Galatians 3:1-3, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

The Greek word baskaino for “bewitched” in Colossians 3:1 is very interesting. It means to malign, that is, (by extension), to fascinate (by false representations).” The word malign here is defined as malignant, i.e., a cancerous tumor! A cancerous tumor is malignant, meaning it can grow and spread to other parts of the body. The foolish Galatian churches had been deceived. They saw the bright neon lights of a false gospel, and were fascinated by it because it appealed to their sinful human nature, not understanding the truth (2nd Peter 3:16-17).

They of the circumcision (who required keeping the Old Testament ceremonial laws to get to Heaven) spoke eloquently, deceiving the naïve Galatian churches. The false teachers were very likable and winsome in their personalities (as are nearly all false prophets). In their carnal fascination, the Galatian churches had embraced a cancerous malignant cult! I cannot speak to what Pastor Anderson's parents believe, but I know from his sermons that Brother Anderson is saved. Unfortunately, there is no way that Pastor Roland Rasmussen was saved, because he believed that faith was not enough to be saved. What saith the Scripture? Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” If turning away from sinful bad habits were also required to get to Heaven, then Galatians 3:26 would have said so, but it doesn't. We are simply taught to have FAITH in Jesus Christ!!!

It ought not come as a surprise that someone can be impressibly religious, zealous about serving Christ, full of Bible lingo and knowledge; and yet never have been born-again at all. What saith the Scripture? ...

Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Will Jesus Christ one day deny knowing you dear reader? Will He recognize you as one of His lambs? Have you done the Father's will? We find the Father's will in John 6:40, which is to simply BELIEVE ON JESUS! John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. Sadly, Roland Rasmussen didn't do the Father's will, like Bob Jones College today, he perverted God's grace by embellishing the Gospel.
