Eleven Things That I Humbly Disagree With Pastor Steven Anderson About

2nd Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Someone recently commented on my Facebook page that they disagreed with Pastor Steven Anderson's teaching that Jesus burned in Hell for three days. Yes, I agree, Biblically Jesus did NOT burn in Hell, not even for one second (Luke 23:43). After addressing the reader's comments, I kindly took the opportunity to deal with some other issues for the sake of edifying my readers with the truth. Actually, there are several doctrinal areas in which I respectfully disagree with Brother Anderson; namely:

1. I Disagree With a PreWrath Rapture.

I believe in a Biblical Pretribulation Rapture (i.e., the Rapture will happen BEFORE the 7-year Tribulation period). Pastor Anderson teaches that the Rapture and Christ's Second Coming are the SAME event, which I think is unbiblical.

2. I Disagree With Pastor Anderson That the Rapture will Happen 75 Days After the Abomination of Desolation (AOD).

The AOD is when the Antichrist breaks the peace agreement with Israel, stops the Jewish daily sacrifices, and professes himself to be God on earth). Clearly, we would know WHEN Jesus is coming back, so this cannot be accurate in lieu of Mark 13:32-37. Daniel 12:11-12 teaches that from the AOD to Christ's Second Coming will be 1,290 days. Again, we would KNOW exactly WHEN Jesus is returning. Only the timing of the Rapture is a mystery, but not Christ's Second Coming.

3. I Disagree That Jesus Burned in Hell Fire for Three Days.

The Savior Himself told the repentant thief on the cross next to Him, that they would both be in Paradise that very same day (Luke 23:43). Clearly, Jesus did not burn in Hell.

4. I Disagree With Pastor Anderson That There is No Old Testament Place Called 'Paradise.'

Acts 2:27 says that Jesus went to Hell. So Hell must have been compartmentalized, with a place of Torment on one side, and a place of Paradise on the other. In fact, this is EXACTLY what we see in Luke 16:19-31 in the true story of the rich man and Lazarus. Luke 16:22 refers to this place of Paradise informally as "Abraham's Bosom." Matthew 12:40 teaches that Jesus was in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights, like Jonah was 3 days and nights in the belly of the whale. Hell is in the heart of the earth (Ezekiel 31:17). My friend Pastor Max D. Younce has authored this masterpiece of literature titled: "A Biblical Examination Of Hell," which you can either buy as a hardcopy, or freely download or read in .pdf format.

5. I Humbly Disagree with Pastor Anderson that Christian Ladies Can Openly Breastfeed in Public Around Men.

I think it is unwise and immodest.

6. I Disagree with Pastor Anderson's Strange "Reprobate Doctrine" Which Says Homosexuals Cannot be Saved.

This heresy falsely claims that God hates homosexuals and has given up on them ever getting saved, banning them from salvation. I do believe the Reprobate Doctrine as Dr. Jack Hyles preached it, which I explain in detail in the preceding article, contrasting what Pastor Hyles taught versus what Pastor Anderson is preaching. I believe there is a point of no return that an unsaved sinner can cross, where they will never get saved; but it is only because of the hardness of their heart, and not because God refuses to save them. Jesus said in John 5:40 that "Ye will not come unto me." He didn't say, "Ye cannot come." Furthermore, in John 6:37 Jesus promised to never cast away anybody who comes to Him for salvation. 2nd Peter 3:9 says that God is not willing for ANY to perish, but that ALL men repent and come to Christ to be saved by faith alone.

7. I Disagree that "Praying" is the Bible Method to Be Saved.

Pastor Anderson does teach that a person CAN be saved without praying, by just believing. He gets that right. But he is very wrong to use Romans 10:13 (a single passage of Scripture) to base a new doctrine which says to be saved, God's normal method is through prayer. Such thinking goes totally contrary to the entire Gospel of John, which is specifically written for the purpose of getting people saved (John 20:31). Nowhere in the Gospel of John are we taught to pray, repent, confess publicly, get water baptized, nor anything else to be saved except simply to BELIEVE. John 6:47, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that BELIEVETH on me hath everlasting life" [emphasis added]. Praying is NOT the Bible method to get saved. It is not wrong to pray as a result of one's faith, but it is not God's method. God's method is "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:30-31).

8. I Disagree with Pastor Anderson that God Hates Homosexuals, Pedophiles, Rapists or Any Other Class of Sinners.

Yes, God hates sin, but not the sinner. Christ died for the ungodly (Romans 5:6-9). Of a truth, we should never accept sin with the sinner, nor reject the sinner with the sin. John 3:16 says that God loves (Greek: agapes) the whole world. God is not fond (Greek: phileo) of their sin. Pastor Anderson mocks and scorns saints like me who look to the Greek to understand the Bible, calling people like me "Chick Phileo Christians." But if Brother Anderson understood the various Bible Greek words for "love," then he would understand that God hates the sin, but never people.

9. I Do Not Agree with Pastor Anderson's Teaching that the Church Replaces Israel (aka, Replacement Theology).

I love and agree 99% with his "Marching To Zion" movie. I agree that we (saints) are the chosen of God. We are true Jews, not biological Jews. What saith the Scripture? Romans 2:28-29, "For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God." Neither biological, ethnic, cultural nor national Jews are the chosen of God, but only born-again Jews and Gentiles (Galatians 3:26-29).

Having said that, there never was a time in the Old Testament where unsaved Jews were God's "chosen." The Jews were God's people, including unsaved Jews, but the promises DIDN'T apply to them. God's promises have always followed a line of faith. God divorced Israel in 586 BC, turning to the Gentiles to preach the Gospel instead, to provoke the Jews to jealousy. God made way, by faith alone in the Gospel, for any Jews to be graffed back into their tree if they wanted it. Romans 11:23, "And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again."

But this is only possible through faith in Jesus Christ, otherwise the Jews are cut off and damned to Hell forever. So I do not agree with Replacement Theology. Israel is Israel. The Church is the Church. Israel is coming back, but only when Jesus returns at His Second Coming and the Jews turn toward God (Hosea 3:4-5). No unsaved Jew has or ever will go to Heaven (John 3:3).

10. I Disagree with Pastor Anderson's Interpretation of 1st Corinthians 15:19, "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable."

I heard a sermon recently by Pastor Anderson, where he mentions a doctrinal quarrel between Dr. John R. Rice and pastor Jack Hyles. These two great soulwinning men often shared preaching meetings together (approximately 2,200 meetings over 20 years).

One night Pastor Hyles preached his sermon first. His text was 1st Corinthians 15:19, saying that even if there were no resurrection and no afterlife, it would be worth living the Christian life anyway. When Brother Hyles finished, Dr. Rice got up and said to the audience that Dr. Hyles doesn't agree with the Apostle Paul. Paul said we would all be miserable if there were no resurrection from the dead, if there is no afterlife. Steven Anderson sided with Dr. Hyles. I am siding with Dr. Rice.

What saith the Scripture? 1st Thessalonians 4:13, "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope." The Bible says if there is no bodily resurrection and afterlife, then we have NO HOPE and are sorrowful, as the unbelieving. But we do have the "hope of eternal life" (Titus 1:2). Paul teaches about the coming Rapture in 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18, exhorting us to COMFORT one another with these precious truths. So clearly Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980) is correct with the Apostle Paul, that without the resurrection there would be no hope, no comfort, and we of all men would be utterly miserable. 

11. I Disagree with Pastor Anderson's Young Earth View. I firmly believe that the earth itself is billions of years old, as legitimate science evidences. The earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old according to science. What saith the Scripture? Psalms102:25, “Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.” The psalmist specifically mentions the earth. I think that is significant. I do not think that dinosaurs roamed the earth with mankind 5,000 years ago. Science evidences that dinosaurs lived upon the earth 60 to 220 million years ago. I believe the human race is approximately 6,000 years old, which history agrees with. I believe in the literal 6 days of creation in Genesis, in which God REMODELED the earth as we know it today. I agree with the Gap Principle (it's not a theory if you study the Hebrew in Genesis chapter's 1 and 2). I do not believe in evolution in any of its forms. God created the universe. Long before God remodeled creation, Lucifer and one-third of the angels rebelled against God and were cast down to the earth, at which time God destroyed the earth, laying it void and waste, rendering the fallen angels disembodied (now only spirits). I humbly think the Young Earth view does harm to the cause of Christ. If an unsaved person is aware that you foolishly think dinosaurs lived 5,000 years ago, they will assume you are too stupid for them to listen to anything else you have to say, including the Gospel which would save them. RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!

The One Bible Verse That Proves "Repentance Will Change Your Behavior" Preachers Wrong

Romans 6:1, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?”

Here is a wonderful Bible verse I just read that PROVES WRONG James Melton, John MacArthur, Sam Horn, Ray Comfort, Paul Washer, Marty Herron, Steve Pettit, Chuck Phelps, Gary Walton, Jeff Redlin, Timothy Zacharias, Chip Ingram, William Lane Craig, Rick Warren, Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen, Steven Furtick, John Hagee, Charles Stanley, Adrian Rogers, Keith Gomez, Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, Mormons, Seventh-Day Adventists, Jehovah Witnesses, Roman Catholics, Church of Christ and MILLIONS more heretics on Bible repentance, who all falsely teach that genuine repentance results in a change of behavior (without which change they ASS-U-ME that you have never been born-again at all)...

Romans 6:1, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?” If a Christian CHOOSES to continue living like the Devil, for the remainder of their natural life, GRACE WILL ABOUND!!!!!!! That is, they can never forfeit, jeopardize nor lose God's free gift of eternal life, which is by faith alone WITHOUT WORKS (Romans 4:4-7).

Certainly, no child of God has the Lord's blessing or permission to commit sin (Hebrews 12:6-8), but the plain truth is that every saved person continues in sin. Psalms 130:3, "If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?" As believers we have the indwelling Holy Spirit who convicts us about our sins (1st John 3:24), but that doesn't guarantee we will stop committing sin. Truthfully, we will sin until the day we die, no matter how much we may try not to, because it is in our flesh.

Yes, it is possible dear reader for a true believer to CONTINUE IN SIN, and still have the 100% absolute confidence and peace of soul that he or she is saved safe and secure in the Father's hands.

How Confused Can A Person Be And Still Be Saved?

Hebrews 4:10-11, “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

Humbly, how much can a person be deceived and still be saved? Answer: To the limit that you ADD something more than faith alone in the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen.

Salvation can NEVER be lost. Once saved, always saved! Can a person think that they can lose God's salvation, if they live in willful sin? No, because they are adding to God's grace. Pentecostals and Charismatics commonly believe that salvation must be maintained, that you CAN lose it by going into gross immorality, but that is unbiblical. What saith the Scripture? Romans 5:20-21, “Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”

No one is saved who thinks that they must DO SOMETHING to keep their salvation. In fact, it is God's gift of salvation. It is not OUR salvation. Salvation is of the Lord. We are saved solely by GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS. We don't have to be good do go to Heaven, we've got to be 100% perfect! Obviously no one is perfect.

A sincere religious man recently asked me if he was saved when he used to be confused. He admittedly that years ago he was in a bad church, and at the time he was trying to be "perfect" to get to Heaven, which he naively thought was part of proving his faith. He said eventually that he heard Pastor J. Vernon McGee (1904-1988) preach on the simplicity that is in Christ and got straitened out doctrinally. I kindly replied and answered the confused man's question, teaching him from the inspired Holy Bible that he in fact WASN'T saved back when he was “trying to be perfect.” That is works! Pastor J. Christianity is NOT a ceremony;

Christianity is NOT even the Church;

Christianity is NOT a system;

Christianity is a person, 

and that Person is the Lord Jesus Christ, 

and it's Who He is, and what He has done.

THAT'S CHRISTIANITY, and nothing else is Christianity. 

Oh, how we need to get back to HIM—the Lord Jesus Christ!!!

Kindly said, Pentecostals and Charismatics are NOT saved, those who are attempting to live above sin lest they lose their salvation. That is not the righteousness of God, which is through faith alone in Christ; but the righteousness of the law, which is by the works of the law (i.e., trying to be perfect).

In fact, if you are so confused about salvation that you still think YOU must DO SOMETHING to maintain or prove that your faith is legitimate, you aren't saved. Salvation is not a reward for the righteous; it is a gift for the guilty! The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. Turning away from sinful ways would be a work. 

Faith puts all of the merit where it belongs, on the object of our faith, Jesus and His work. If to “repent” means to forsake our sinful ways TO BE SAVED, but Jesus already paid for our sins by dying on the cross, then what are we repenting from? We must stay true to the simplicity of the gospel!! Repentance regarding salvation is a change of mind from unbelief to belief, nothing less or more. We must earnestly contend for the faith (Jude 1:3).

I kindly explained to my friend, who asked if a person could be confused but still saved, that it wasn't until he finally understood the Gospel, when Pastor J. Vernon McGee showed him the truth, and he finally trusted in Jesus Christ alone, that he was saved. But don't take my word for it. What saith the Scripture? Hebrews 4:10-11, “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” Notice that only those who have "ceased from their own works" have entered into God's rest, that is, God's salvation.

Philippians 3:9, "And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:" Notice that we are saved by God's righteousness, which is through the faith of Jesus Christ; and not by my own righteousness, which is of the law (trying to be perfect). Although it is possible to be confused about some doctrinal issues and still be saved, it is not possible to be so confused that you are still trusting in yourself in the slightest degree. Works have no place in God's simple plan of salvation. Jesus paid it all!!!

Are There Two Gospels?

Romans 4:5, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”

Are there 2 Gospels? ...

1. LORDSHIP SALVATION - The false gospel of John MacArthur, Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, Paul Washer, Jack Chick, Aiden Tozer, David Cloud, and others. This false plan of salvation requires a person to forsake (or be willing to forsake) willful sins, make amends, follow Jesus, surrender to Christ, confess Christ before men, and/or change one's ways, as a prerequisite to saving faith. They misunderstand this to be repentance. None of these are the Gospel.
   
   This false plan of Lordship Salvation combines and confuses SALVATION with DISCIPLESHIP. The sinner is required to change their own life. Believing is not enough, the sinner must commit to forsaking their sinful ways to be saved. The burden of sin is placed upon the sinner. This is a false works-based gospel. Salvation becomes a reward, and not a gift, because the sinner is required to turn away from sins to be saved, which is a work. This is a corrupt gospel of partial faith in Christ plus human effort. There is no new birth! It is hard to be saved.
   
   
2. EASY-BELIEVISM - The Biblical Gospel teaches that Christ DIED for our sins on the cross. He was BURIED. And He bodily RESURRECTED three days later (1st Corinthians 15:1-6). In the true Gospel sinners are saved solely by God's righteousness, and no self-righteousness of any kind is required or allowed (and it's a good thing, because we have none to offer - Isaiah 64:6). Neither does a person have to quit any sin to be saved. A changed life is the FRUIT of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and not a part of the ROOT of saving-faith. Repentance is simply “a change of mind,” laying aside wrong thoughts to believe the Gospel. We don't try to live right to BE saved; but rather, we try to live right because we ARE saved. God makes the changes.
   
   Our part is simply to believe the Gospel, God does the rest. Romans 4:5 teaches that a person's faith is COUNTED (imputed) for righteousness! Christ bore the total weight of our sins on the cross. There is no burden placed upon the sinner to reform or turn from sins to be saved. Forgiveness of sins and eternal life is a free gift. Any person who admits they are a sinner in God's eyes and receives Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for their sins, believing that He was buried and raised up from the dead three days later, is born again immediately, irrevocably and permanently. It is easy, simple and free to be saved. No human effort is required, except to rest completely in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 4:10-11).

One's salvation is solely based in Christ's righteousness and God's PROMISES (Titus 1:2), having absolutely nothing to do with a sinner's desire to cease from committing sins. Lordship Salvationists place the cart before the horse. Romans 4:5-6 plainly teaches that salvation is without works of self-righteousness, and that the ungodly are saved by the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:21). Salvation is of the Lord.

A changed life is the FRUIT of the Holy Spirit (James 2:18-21), and not a part of the ROOT of saving faith (Romans 4:5-6). Abraham was saved in Genesis 15:6 when he believed upon the Lord, but Abraham's faith was demonstrated in Genesis 22:10 when he offered up his son Isaac in obedience to God. A person gives up their sins because they ARE a Christian, and not to BECOME a Christian. The changed life comes AFTER a person is saved, as a person grows in the milk of the Word (1st Peter 2:2). Galatians 2:20, “ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Notice that it is Christ living through the believer that produces a changed life, and not manmade repentance. Please read what Pastor Charles Spurgeon said about repentance.

A lot of Christians have brushed the issue aside as a matter of semantics, but the difference between the two Gospels is day and night. One includes a certain degree of self-righteousness, which is a false gospel, but the other is solely based upon Christ's righteousness. God promises “TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE” (1st Corinthians 1:21). We are only saved by the precious literal, physical, blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. 

1st Peter 1:18-19, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” 

Salvation is not something that we do to get, it is a gift that we receive to have. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved, He will only save those who are trusting to be saved.

The Heresy Of Ages Of Law And Grace

Romans 8:1-4, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

I heard a preacher recently say something from the pulpit that didn't set right with me. He said that people in the Old Testament were living during the Age Of Law. He said that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed with fire by God because the law condemned them! Then he said that today's preachers are wrong, who say that God is going to bring judgment upon the United States for our sins! He said that everyone alive today is living in the Age Of Grace, so that God will not destroy America like He did Sodom and Gomorrah.

I have several theological problems with what this preacher said. I won't mention his name. He is a very godly man, a good man, and someone whom I admire as a pastor. However, for the sake of you my dear friend, I want to address this important issue with the Word of God.

Here are some Biblical reasons why I disagree with the aforementioned preacher, who says that God will not punish America because we are living in the Age Of Grace today:

1. The Bible plainly teaches that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah as an EXAMPLE to all mankind of what happens to the wicked, which is eternal damnation in Hell. Jude 1:7, “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” God rained down literal fire and brimstone upon the five cities located in the well-watered plains of Sodom. So it is wrong to use Sodom as an example of an alleged Age Of Law. Furthermore, the law of Moses hadn't even been given by God to Moses yet. The notion that God punished wicked nations in the Old Testament, but won't today, is unbiblical. When Christ returns, there will be THE JUDGMENT OF THE NATIONS (Matthew 25:32).
2. Salvation has always been by God's grace alone without works! Romans 4:1-7, “What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.” Verse 4 of Romans chapter four plainly teaches that if salvation has ever, at any time and place in human history, been by WORKS, then salvation came by DEBT and not by GRACE. If a person could work their way to Heaven, this would violate every principle taught in the inspired Word of God. God doesn't owe anyone anything, except Hell for our sins (Romans 6:23)! The fallacy that God will not destroy America today because we are living in the Age Of Grace is ridiculous and unbiblical. The truth is that every unsaved person is still living today under the curse of God's Old Testament law. ONLY those who have been born-again through faith alone in Jesus Christ are no longer under law, but are now and forever under God's saving grace (Romans 5:20).
3. The Bible plainly warns that God will punish the world for their wickedness. Isaiah 13:11, “And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.” Believe God dear reader, He will judge the wicked world!!!
4. Revelation chapter 18 plainly foretells of the coming destruction of a nation. I am firmly convinced that Revelation 18 is a dystopian prophecy foretelling the coming utter destruction of the United States, in just ONE HOUR by fire. I believe this can only mean a coming nuclear holocaust. But I admit that I don't know for certain. I am merely speculating that it will be the U.S.A., and by a nuclear strike. What else could destroy a nation by fire in just one hour? What other nation today has made the merchants of the seas rich? With all of the importing and exporting from America, I don't see how Revelation 18 could refer to any other nation than the U.S.A. 

Dear friend, I do not like the doctrine of Dispensationalism. Whew, what a long and complicated word! God has already made two great divisions to His Word of Old and New Testament; or respectively, Law and Christ. Galatians 3:24-26, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” God intentionally made these two great and simple divisions to teach mankind THE GOSPEL. I detest dispensationalism because it draws the emphasis away from the Gospel, and instead places it upon the future nation of Israel.

Our focus as believers should always be the preaching of the Gospel, and not the restoration of the nation of Israel. God divorced the rebellious nation of Israel in 586 BC, and that wicked nation will not be regathered until Christ's Second Coming. Present-day Israel is a Satanic counterfeit, established by men in May of 1948. Just like Abraham and Sarah took matters into their own hands, so also did men do the same by reforming the modern secular state of Israel. Hosea 3:4-5 teaches that God will not regather Israel until the Jews repent of their unbelief and return to God. Jews today have no special Biblical rights to claim, any more than Gentiles do. God is not a respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). All humanity MUST be born again to get to Heaven. John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

We are not living under an Age Of Grace today. Nor were Old Testament saints living under an Age Of Law. God initiated a system of ceremonial laws in the Old Testament, which were a shadow of good things to come. Hebrews 10:1, “For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.” As we just read, the ceremonial laws were unable to give anyone salvation. ALL of the Old Testament prophets (preachers) gave witness that remission of sins only came through faith in the coming Messiah. Acts 10:43, “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”

There has always been salvation by grace through faith alone. Never has there been a time when people were saved by keeping the law (works). Romans 3:19-20, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Back in the Old Testament, just as today, the purpose of the law was to be used as a measuring stick, by which when men measured themselves they fell short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Thus, in trying and failing to perfectly keep the law, the law gave men the KNOWLEDGE THAT WE ARE SINNERS in need of redemption. The law then brings all condemned sinners to Christ to be saved by grace through faith. Amen!

The Holy Bible is so simple, if we will just allow it to speak for itself. In God's Word we are presented with the Old and New Testament, or Law and Christ (Grace). Tragically throughout history, woefully ignorant men have sought to keep the law to get to Heaven, grossly failing to understand that the only purpose of God's law was to show all men our sinnership, and then subsequently bring us to Jesus Christ to be saved by faith. Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

So please beware of the fallacy of ages of law and grace, because they don't exist. People were saved by faith in Christ throughout the Old Testament, just as we are today. They didn't have all the details of the Gospel that we do today, but they were nonetheless saved by placing their faith in Christ. Luke 24:25-27, “Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.” Matthew 16:21, “From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.”

There is no Age Of Grace! People have always been saved by grace!!! And there was no Age Of Law back in the Old Testament. The ceremonial laws were commanded by God ONLY for a specific people (the Jews), during a specific region (Palestine), during a specific time (the Old Testament). If keeping the law had been necessary to be saved, then how did the Jews taken into 70 years of captivity in Babylon get saved? How did people get saved during the 400 silent years between the Old and New Testaments? How silly and unbiblical it is for anyone to think and teach that salvation has ever been by the works of the law.

There is no more wicked an institution today than Pensacola Christian College (PCC), because they sinfully bid Godspeed to the accursed Bob Jones University camp with their damnable Lordship Salvation heresy. The common denominator between PCC and BJU is the corrupt Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, where I attended for the year of 2013 to 2014.

To their shame, Harvest has removed their plan of damnation from their church website, to hide what they really teach, to avoid having to choose sides between BJU and PCC. It is not just shameful, it is ungodly that PCC wickedly bids Godspeed to the Bob Jones camp. It's bad enough that Bob Jones University and their graduates are using, selling and promoting the Devil's corrupt Bibles; but they are also guilty of preaching another gospel. Calvinism is NOT the Gospel taught in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4. I have been faithfully preaching against these wicked pastors and college leaders since 2014, while they literally laugh in my face and think it's all a big joke. But God doesn't think wrong doctrine is a trifle matter!!! RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!!!

Our other text Scripture passage exhorts every believer to REFUTE ALL WORKS OF DARKNESS, not bid Godspeed to them like PCC is doing. Lordship Salvation is not just a different opinion on how to get to Heaven, it is a counterfeit plan of salvation, accursed by God. 

Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

I certainly don't think that I know everything, but I do know that the Bible is very clear on what God expects of a human being to get to Heaven. All humans are guilty sinners (Romans 3:19-20). The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), which includes being punished in a burning Hell forever (Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8). That's the bad news! The Good News (or Gospel) is that God loved humanity so much, that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), to die on a cross to pay for our debt of sin. Jesus died on the cross, was buried and then three days later He physically resurrected from the dead. This is the Gospel (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

There is nothing in the Gospel about giving up your sinful ways, forsaking the world, surrendering your life to God, following Jesus as “Lord” of your life, turning away from sins, running the Christian race faithfully until the end, counting the cost and paying the price, trading or exchanging all you are for all Christ is, getting water baptized, living a lifestyle of repentance, nor anything else. John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” BELIEVE on Jesus Christ oh sinner, and the work is done!!!

Yet, Pensacola Christian College wickedly supports Harvest Baptist Church on Guam (a cesspool of Lordship Salvation, fake Bibles, BJU graduates and BJU supporters). Harvest broadcasts all of Steve Pettit's corrupt BJU chapel sermons on their KHMG 88.1 FM radio station throughout Micronesia. Harvest has Pastor Jeff Redlin's name listed on their KHMG webpage. Dear reader, these ungodly religious people are all in bed together, spiritually committing adultery with each other for the sake of making more money (and they are making tens of millions of dollars collectively). PCC's Campus Church took in $3,500,000 in 2020 alone. That's a lot of cheddar! Yet, Jeff Redlin charged $10 per attendee for a class at Campus Church, teaching how to share the Gospel more effectively. That is so WRONG!!! NO ONE should ever be asked to pay money to learn how to share the Gospel more effectively.

PCC has a lot to be desired of them. They'll be the first to admit that they are not perfect, but that is hardly the problem. The big problem is that they don't want to even try to be perfect. Proof of that rests in the fact that I have attempted three times already to make peace with the PCC family. I wrote three separate letters to Jeff Redlin, Campus Church and Pensacola Christian College (in June and July of 2022). They all totally ignored me! That is so horrible and shameful of the PCC camp.

Consequently, you better believe that I am going to keep exposing their wickedness and apostasy, and tell everyone how rotten they are being. If Jeff Redlin and the leaders at PCC ever get right with God, they will repent of being BULLIES and contact me to make peace. Sadly, they would rather sue somebody like me (as they did one of their very own graduates), then to simply allow me to quietly attend their church services. Something is very wrong spiritually with Jeff Redlin, Timothy Zacharias, Campus Church and PCC leadership. All I can do is continue to pray for them and keeping preaching THE TRUTH, even if it harelips every dog in the county. 

God knows that I do not hate any of these apostate people. I do believe that most people in the PCC camp are saved, but I have my doubts because of their alliance with the unsaved Bob Jones University cult. NO ONE is saved who thinks that they must forsake sinful behavior to get to Heaven. Jesus paid for our sins, and wants us to turn away from them with His strength as a child of God (Galatians 2:20; 5:22-25); however, you don't have to give up your deliberate desire to sin to get to Heaven (Romans 6:1). There is so much heresy in the churches today, primarily because today's pastors have been poorly trained by incompetent Bible colleges (most of whom don't even believe that we have a perfect inspired Holy Bible today). Truth is stranger than fiction!

By the way, neither BJU or PCC teach that the King James Bible is inspired. Both colleges errantly deny that we have an inspired Bible today. They all falsely claim that only the non-existent original autographs of God's Word were inspired. Clearly they are WRONG! Don't you dare tell me that almighty God, who spoke the ever-expanding universe into existence (Genesis 1:1), and will one day regenerate every cell in every saint's decayed body (1st Corinthians 15:51-58), couldn't give us a perfect Bible today in 2022. You'd really have to lack faith in God, to believe that God failed to perfectly preserve His inspired Words (Psalms 12:6-7), but instead handed it over to incompetent, flawed, sinful men to ruin. By the way, all Scripture references that I cite are only from the inspired King James Bible.

The bottom line is that PCC has much blood on their hands. 2nd John 1:11, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” Sadly, PCC doesn't care, because they are receiving hundreds of students from the BJU camp. They love MONEY more than they do THE TRUTH! That is called “filthy lucre” that PCC is making, blood money! Harvest hires PCC graduates. These ungodly groups are all in agreement, fornicating spiritually with one another, disregarding their doctrinal differences in ecumenical apostasy and wickedness! By their shameful alliance with Calvinists in the infidel BJU crowd, the PCC camp are telling the religious world that they couldn't care less about RIGHT DOCTRINE!!!

Dear reader, it is a very big deal, serious cause for alarm and a sore evil that every God-fearing child of God needs to expose, because these shameful Bible colleges are adversely influencing thousands of Baptist churches worldwide. I feel sorry for all the thousands of parents who are feeding their children to the wolves at PCC and BJU. These young people today are not wanting to serve God in full-time Christian service; but rather, they want nursing and worldly careers, which these secularized colleges are now offering (all for money). BJU, Harvest Baptist Church and BJU are shamefully ALL ABOUT MONEY!!!

Why A Young Earth Creation View Is Harmful

I heard actor Matt Damon make a comment about potential U.S. Presidential candidate Sarah Palin in 2008, implying that he would never vote for someone who believes that dinosaurs roamed the earth 4,000 years ago. Can you blame him? I have a problem with that claim myself. Albert Einstein said, “Religion without science is blind.” People don't have much patience when preachers teach that dinosaurs roamed the earth 4,500 years ago. Some theologians like Dr. John R. Rice taught that Noah left the dinosaurs behind and they died in the flood. Others, like Henry Morris III, teach that Noah took baby dinosaurs onto the Ark, and they survived the flood. Biblically, in my humble opinion, dinosaurs never lived with man at all.

The flood occurred at approximately 2,345 B.C. and the Bible dates creation in Genesis at 4,004 BC. (Noah: What Are All The Begets About?. God put the begets in the Bible so we could tell time; thus, we know that there were 1,656 years from creation to the flood.) Humanity DID NOT exist prior to around 4,004 BC! Albeit, the earth is very old Biblically. A Young Earth view is superstition. There is an abundance of solid evidence, both Biblically and scientifically which testifies of a very OLD EARTH, but a young human race. It is tragic that so many Christians today are so dumb! Preachers don't study and don't take a stand! Consequently, the thinking world avoids talking to such woefully ignorant believers, which hinders the furtherance of the Gospel. 1st Timothy 6:20 warns us about “oppositions to science falsely so called” (such as the lies of Evolution that oppose legitimate science). It's important that preachers and Christian workers be scientifically correct as well as Biblically correct if they want people to respect their opinions and listen to them. Science has repeatedly evidenced, by using tests on ACTUAL dinosaur bones, that dinosaurs lived tens-of-millions of years ago...

Dinosaurs Survived Mass Extinction by 700,000 Years, Fossil Find Suggests

ScienceDaily (Jan. 27, 2011) — University of Alberta researchers determined that a fossilized dinosaur bone found in New Mexico confounds the long established paradigm that the age of dinosaurs ended between 65.5 and 66 million years ago.

The U of A team, led by Larry Heaman from the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, determined the femur bone of a hadrosaur as being only 64.8 million years old. That means this particular plant eater was alive about 700,000 years after the mass extinction event many paleontologists believe wiped all non-avian dinosaurs off the face of earth, forever.

Heaman and colleagues used a new direct-dating method called U-Pb (uranium-lead) dating. A laser beam unseats minute particles of the fossil, which then undergo isotopic analysis. This new technique not only allows the age of fossil bone to be determined but potentially can distinguish the type of food a dinosaur eats. Living bone contains very low levels of uranium but during fossilization (typically less than 1000 years after death) bone is enriched in elements like uranium. The uranium atoms in bone decay spontaneously to lead over time and once fossilization is complete the uranium-lead clock starts ticking. The isotopic composition of lead determined in the hadrosaur's femur bone is therefore a measure of its absolute age.

Currently, paleontologists date dinosaur fossils using a technique called relative chronology. Where possible, a fossil's age is estimated relative to the known depositional age of a layer of sediment in which it was found or constrained by the known depositional ages of layers above and below the fossil-bearing horizon. However, obtaining accurate depositional ages for sedimentary rocks is very difficult and as a consequence the depositional age of most fossil horizons is poorly constrained. A potential weakness for the relative chronology approach is that over millions of years geologic and environmental forces may cause erosion of a fossil-bearing horizon and therefore a fossil can drift or migrate from its original layer in the strata. The researchers say their direct-dating method precludes the reworking process.

It's widely believed that a mass extinction of the dinosaurs happened between 65.5 and 66 million years ago. It's commonly believed debris from a giant meteorite impact blocked out the Sun, causing extreme climate conditions and killing vegetation worldwide.

When I lived in Chicago I saw “Sue” the T-rex on display at the Field Museum Of Natural History. The skeletal dinosaur remains were unearthed in the state of Montana. I recall looking up, because Sue is really tall. There's no way that these horrific, yet beautiful, creatures dwelt with humanity. Any thinking person has a hard time believing that Noah left the dinosaurs behind. It is superstition. The truth is that dinosaurs never coexisted with mankind.

Up until recently I had remained neutral in my position of a Young Earth verses an Old Earth view. Since it's not a fundamental Biblical doctrine pertaining to salvation, I didn't take sides in the issue; however, I can no longer remain neutral. Many educated people are steering away from the gospel on the grounds of ignorant believers who boldly claim falsely that dinosaurs roamed the earth 4,500 years ago. A Young Earth view is an enemy of soul-winning!!!

Basically, proponents of an Old Earth view believe that the earth was created by God—did not evolve—has existed for millions (if not billions) of years—and that the human race is young, having only been in existence for 6,000 years (since 4,000 BC). Dr. Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) and Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951) believed this and so do I. This is often called the 'Gap Principle' (that is, a time gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2). I do not refer to it as the “Gap Theory” as many do, simply because it is NOT a “theory” if you study the Bible. And so we may properly refer to this gap in time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 as the “GAP PRINCIPLE.”

Here you see the potential harm again in holding to a Young Earth view. We saw earlier that skeptics like actor Matt Damon won't waste their time listening to a professed Christian who thinks dinosaurs roamed the earth 4,500 years ago. I don't blame him at all. It is absurd to believe. By holding to a Young Earth view we may indeed be responsible for someone not coming to Jesus Christ to get saved. Soul-Winning opportunities are lost if we lose the respect of our listeners.

The unsaved world laughs at Christians who hold to a Young Earth view, in particular concerning the matter of dinosaurs. It discredits a preacher when he goes against legitimate science, because most people are objective thinkers when it comes to preachers and they know bogus teachings when they hear it. It is simply absurd to claim that dinosaurs roamed the earth 4,500 years ago. The flood of Noah's time is estimated to have happened around 2348 BC[1]). Very few Christians know how to reconcile the reality of dinosaurs and science with the Genesis account of creation in the Bible. Well, now you can KNOW the truth about the matter and explain it to others. The earth is indeed very old, but humanity has only been here since about 4,004 BC. This matter of an Old Earth (ruin-remodeling) verses a Young Earth is a heated debate. Some advocates of each group have even stooped low to accuse the other group of perverting the Gospel and not being saved at all. These are baseless allegations, not rooted in Biblical principle and truth.

The Fallacies Of A Young Earth Series (by Dr. Max D. Younce)

Dr. Kent Hovind has tried to accuse proponents of an Old Earth view of distorting the Gospel message. Mr. Hovind claims that since Adam's sin brought death into the world, then there couldn't have been any death prior to the Garden Of Eden. However, Romans 5:12 plainly states that Adam merely allowed sin to enter the world; but Adam didn't manufacture sin. Sin was already present. Romans 5:12 tells us that Adam's one sin brought sin into the world, and death by sin, for all have sinned.

Romans 5:19, “For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” There is nothing sacrilegious in an Old Earth view. Christ died for the sins of mankind; not Lucifer nor the fallen angels. The reality that there was sin prior to the Garden Of Eden in no way negates Christ's sacrifice for the sins of men. Revelation 20:2 identifies the serpent in the Garden Of Eden as Satan (see also Ezekiel 28:13).

I'd say that 90% of all professed Christian websites adhere to and promote a Young Earth view, which includes the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) by Dr. Henry Morris, Creation Today (CT) by Eric Hovind, and Answers-In-Genesis (AIG) by Ken Ham. These den of thieves have exploited the Holy Bible for their own lucrative profit, teaching lies and desperately grasping for straws to justify their heresies to make tons of money. In 2014, God Quest (aka, Creation Today) by Eric Hovind took in $1,234,389 income.

Within the ministry, they can spend that money anyway they want as long as it's for the ministry. They can drive ministry cars, eat ministry food, enjoy ministry trips and anything else related to the “ministry.” From what I have seen in my life, non-profit organizations are easily abused for personal gain. I'm not saying that Eric Hovind is doing that, but I have a problem with professed believers exploiting a niche, one issue ministries, that make ridiculous profits. The Young Earth Creation Movement: Deceiving Their Followers For Over 40 Years!

Also, CreationToday.org, which is ran by Eric Hovind (Kent Hovind's son). These two organizations and their websites teach a Young Earth view. Sadly, Eric Hovind has sold-out and been drawn into the Lordship Salvation heretical movement. Their website openly teaches that a person must “endeavor” with God's help to depart from sinful bad habits to be saved. It's a requirement for their way of salvation, but the Bible disagrees with them completely. CreationToday.org doesn't even mention the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (which is the Gospel according to 1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

Ken Ham is another false prophet, the founder of the Answers In Genesis website, who espouses a Young Earth view of creation. In a ridiculous article authored by Paul Taylor and Mark Van Bebber of AnswersInGenesis.org (AIG) titled, “Six Days or Billions of Years... Does it Make Any Difference?,” they reveal their woeful ignorance (or intentional dishonestly) of what old-earthers believe and what the Bible actually teaches. I've read the alleged scientific reasons for a Young Earth and they are lame at best. CreationToday.org's biggest argument in support of a Young Earth is the short duration of mankind's history (going back 6,000 years to 4,004 BC). They're comparing apples with oranges. The age of an Old Earth has absolutely NOTHING to do with the age of a Young Human Race. There is no debating that mankind DIDN'T exist prior to 4,004 BC. The advancement of humanity's writings, inventions, knowledge and population all attest to the fact that mankind began around 4000 BC.

Many people agree with this blatant observation, but then get confused when they hear scientists talking about dinosaurs that lived millions of years ago. The answer is an Old Earth; Young Man view of the matter. Dr. Max D. Younce expounds the matter diligently in his timeless classic book, THE TRUTH ABOUT EVOLUTION (.PDF file).

America's churches have been infected with a false message of “surrender to Jesus, make a commitment to Christ, amend your sinful ways, forsake the world, give your heart to Jesus, prayer the Jesus' prayer”... and so forth. None of these are the Gospel. You may do all these and a whole lot more, and yet never be saved at all. Ye must be born again (John 3:5-7). Only by receiving Christ's death, burial and resurrection as payment for MY SINS, can I be saved and go to Heaven. Won't you receive Him now as your Savior as John 1:12 says, believing the Gospel so that all your sins will be forgiven, washed away by Jesus' precious blood (1st Peter 1:18-19)?

Matt Damon is but one of tens-of-millions of people who have thinking brains and won't tolerate willful ignorance concerning when the dinosaurs lived. Most Christian scholars have attempted to force-fit dinosaurs into the Old Testament or onto the ark (as does Dr. Walt Brown of CreationScience.com), because that's the best explanation they can come up with. Well, here's the truth for those who want it concerning our wondrous Old Earth.

The Insane Dinosaur Theory Of Young Earthers

Someone handed me a book recently, trying to convince me of a Young Earth theory. I explained to them my Old Earth position, but told them that I would read the book with an open mind and be honest. The book is titled, “THE CREATION ANSWERS BOOK,” co-authored by Don Batten, David Catchpoole, Jonathan Sarfati, Carl Wieland and various other contributing writers. I learned a long time ago that someone's most ridiculous argument is the most damning information against them, which can be used to discredit the rest of their work or beliefs:

For example: Jehovah's Witnesses successfully confuse many unsaved people on the matter of Jesus' deity, teaching people that Jesus is “a god” but not “THE GOD.” However, what Jehovah's Witnesses DON'T teach people upfront is that they believe Michael the archangel became Jesus. When you present this ridiculous information to an honest person, they can much more easily recognize the Jehovah's Witnesses as a satanic religious cult. Of course, the Word of God totally disagrees. The Bible teaches that the Godhead became incarnate (flesh) in the earthly person of Jesus Christ (John 1:1-3,14; Colossians 2:9 — King James Bible). The Bible teaches that Jesus is almighty God, the revelation of the unseen Father (1st Timothy 3:16; John 10:33; Revelation 1:8 — King James Bible).

Likewise, the most ridiculous information (argument) put forth in the book “THE CREATION ANSWERS BOOK” is concerning dinosaurs and man co-existing. The four authors teach that Noah took baby dinosaurs onto the ark, which is the same garbage that Ken Ham teaches. On pages 247-248 we read:

“Given the different dinosaur species that have been identified, and the huge size of some of them [e.g., Seismosaurus, on the basis of fossil reconstructions attained lengths of 45 metres (150 feet)], some people might wonder how Noah could have taken all the dinosaur kinds onto the Ark. However, when one considers the following, there is no problem.

1. Only around 55 dinosaur 'kinds'

In Chapter 13, we discussed how Noah did not need to take all species (a notoriously flexible concept) on board the Ark, but only pairs of each created kind. The same principle applies to dinosaurs. So Noah's Ark did not have to carry the 668 or so named species of dinosaurs, rather, just the representative 'kinds' (Genesis 6:20)—of which it has been estimated there were only 55.”

At the bottom of page 248, the book has a footnote that claims there are many duplicate names for dinosaurs, and that the actual number of species is “greatly inflated.” This claim may actually have some merit, as National Geographic reports. However, as the National Geographic article says, there is not enough fossil evidence to prove the claim one way or the other. Wikipedia says there is a list of 1,466 dinosaur species, of which 1,080 are considered valid. This is certainly much higher than the alleged 55 species that “THE CREATION ANSWERS BOOK” claims. The question is, “Could all those dinosaurs fit on the Ark?” I think not! The very idea is absurd!

Noah's Ark would have to keep increasing in size, because more and more species of dinosaurs are being discovered every year! The ark was big, but not THAT BIG! Look at some of these Prehistoric Creatures. They're called “prehistoric” for a good reason, that is, they existed before human history!!!

When I went to Los Angeles for neck surgery in 2009, I visited the famous LA BREA TAR PITS MUSEUM in downtown Los Angeles. They are literal tar pits, stinking with hot bubbling black tar. Some squirrels and birds get entrapped in the tar pits by accident and die unintentionally. I watched them doing some live excavations inside the Museum, still digging up fossils and meticulously sorting through them with special equipment and a magnifying glass to find fossils.

I sincerely, but ignorantly, went inside and asked where the dinosaurs were? The attendant laughed and said there were no dinosaurs there, only prehistoric Mammals. I was fascinated by that. It is a special museum just for prehistoric mammals, and not for dinosaurs like The Field Museum in Chicago. Inside the entrance was a giant Mammoth with giant tusks, and a Sabertooth tiger, and other hairy creatures as tall as the ceiling. How did Noah fit all the thousands of prehistoric mammals and creatures besides dinosaurs onto the ark? Clearly, Noah did not! Furthermore, even if dinosaurs did survive the flood, there is no record of them going extinct. Science shows that it was the Ice Age that wiped out the dinosaurs from the earth 65,000,000 years ago.

I love Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980), but disagree with his Young Earth view. Dr. Rice believed that dinosaurs existed in Genesis, but that Noah left the dinosaurs behind. Brother Rice taught that dinosaurs lived in remote areas away from major living centers, just as wild animals like lions and hippopotamuses live today in remote areas and the jungles of Africa, India and South America. However, there is nothing in the Bible to indicate that Noah was told by God to leave certain animals behind. Even the birds couldn't have survived without being sheltered onboard the Ark.

I don't see Noah bringing prehistoric Pterodactyls on board (really big birds). If you consider all the thousands of species that exist in the world today, and all the thousands of extinct prehistoric creatures, there's no way possible that Noah could have brought them all on the Ark for their shear size. Noah had plenty of room for all the animals, insects, reptiles, birds and living creatures which God led to the ark in pairs. The dinosaurs didn't have a ticket to ride.

Nearly All Old Earth Advocates Are Not Evolutionists

If you research the writings of Young Earth advocates, you'll notice that they continually grasp for straws, desperately trying to make a case where there is no case. Most Young Earthers attempt to turn Old Earthers into evolutionists, and that is 80% to 90% of their argument. Take for example the book titled, “5 REASONS TO BELIEVE IN RECENT CREATION,” by Henry Morris III. Here are his five reasons to believe in a Young Earth:

The Bible does not allow an evolutionary interpretation.

Science does not observe evolution happening today.

There is no evidence evolution took place in the past.

God's character absolutely forbids evolutionary methods.

God's purpose for creation excludes evolution.

Notice carefully that in all 5 reasons submitted by Dr. Morris, he attempts to disprove an Old Earth by turning proponents of an Old Earth into evolutionists. Most proponents of an Old Earth DON'T believe in the evolutionary process (that is, the teaching that the universe formed from a Big Bang 13 billion years ago, and then evolved, and continues to evolve). I am a firm believer in an Old Earth, yet I do NOT believe in evolution in any way, fashion or form. Neither do I believe in Theistic Evolution (that is, the teaching that God created the universe, and then it evolved). I believe the inspired holy Bible, which teaches that God created everything from nothing by the Word of His mouth. 2nd Peter 3:5, “For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water.”

When you take away the teachings of evolution, Young Earth proponents lose nearly all of their ammunition. Dr. Morris' entire book is based upon the presumption that Young Earthers are evolutionists. It is unscholarly and dishonest to label one's opponents as being something that they are not. I am NOT an evolutionist!

The truth is that God created the earth long, long, ago. It was a pre-Adamic world. Humanity had not yet been created. When Lucifer and one-third of the angels were cast down, God in his anger laid the earth waste. I believe the following passage of Scripture from the Old Testament is compelling evidence which cannot be ignored...

Jeremiah 4:23-26, “I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.”

The following passage of Scripture concerning Lucifer evidences an Old Earth...

Isaiah 14:12, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

Here are some interesting questions concerning Lucifer:

1. Where was Lucifer when he said, “I will ASCEND into heaven?” Clearly he was not in heaven at the time.
2. Where was Lucifer when he said, “I will ascend ABOVE THE HEIGHTS OF THE CLOUDS”? How do you ascend above the clouds unless you are below the clouds?

The only logical answer is that Lucifer was on earth, under the clouds, which is where his throne was located before man was created. There are many problems with a Young Earth view. I respect the right of others to have their own opinions. It is ok to agree to disagree. Most believers in churches today are proponents of a Young Earth view.

I realize that it is much easier to just decide to believe in Creationism and totally reject any ruin-reconstruction or gap principle teachings; however, there are just too many Biblical and scientific inconsistencies with a Young Earth to disregard it. And by the way, I do believe in Creationism (that is, I do believe that God literally created the world as we know it today in 6-days). These weren't thousand-day periods, they were 24 hour days! But I also believe that there was a Pre-Adamic world, between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2c, which is commonly called “THE GAP THEORY.” I like “GAP PRINCIPLE” better, because this is what the Bible teaches.

I'll tell you, this is a raging debate. Young Earthers commonly attack the salvation of proponents of an Old Earth, accusing them of corrupting the Gospel. May I say, 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 defines the Gospel as the DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ from the dead after three days. This is the Gospel and it does not include creation as Henry Morris III claims on pages 44-45 of his book titled, “5 REASONS TO BELIEVE IN RECENT CREATION.”

Did you know that the Young Earth heresy started with the Seventh-Day Adventists and Ellen G. White? The Young Earth view didn't exist until Seventh-Day Adventism. The false religion of Seventh-Day Adventism literally worship the Sabbath Day (which is why they meet on Saturdays instead of Sundays), which consequently compels SDA's to worship creation too, since God rested on the 7th day from His work. The Bible totally disagrees with a Young Earth view. The Spirit Of God Didn't Move Until Genesis 1:2c

God rested on the 7th day, to look over His work and “IT WAS VERY GOOD.” This is in drastic contrast to the void earth, darkened and without form between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.

Notice in the following Scriptures that God saw everything that He MADE was GOOD...

Genesis 1:4, “And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”

Genesis 1:10, And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.”

Genesis 1:12, “And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”

Genesis 1:18, “And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:21, “And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”

Genesis 1:25, “And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”

Genesis 1:31, “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”

How then could the earth be without form and void in Genesis 1:1-1:2? And notice very carefully WHEN the Spirit of God began to move to create:

Genesis 1:1-2, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

I don't know why I hadn't seen that phrase years earlier, but it just jumped out at me today while I was studying this passage. The Bible plainly says that “THE SPIRIT OF GOD MOVED UPON THE FACE OF THE WATERS.” The Spirit of God isn't mentioned in Genesis 1:1 to 2:1b. We just read that God created (absolute) the universe. Clearly, something bad happened between Genesis 1:1a and 1:2c. And then In Genesis 1:2c we read that the omnipotent Spirit of God went to work, moving upon the face of the waters.

God did NOT create (Hebrew: bara) the world in a CHAOTIC condition. God did NOT create the world in the WASTE condition that Young Earth people claim. It became that way the Bible says. The earth became uninhabitable, so God had to remodel the earth to make it inhabitable for mankind.

Hell was created for the Devil and his angels, not Adam and Eve. So the Devil and his angels existed before man.

Satan Was Already In The Garden Of Eden

Consider that the serpent (Satan according to Revelation 20:2) was already present in the Garden of Eden, which plainly evidences that the angels had already fallen before man was created. So sin did exist before man, when Lucifer and one-third of the angels rebelled against God. It was the sin of the angels that stirred God's wrath to destroy the earth prior to mankind. If, as Youth Earthers claim, the universe did not exist prior to the Genesis account of creation (beginning in Genesis 1:2), then there would have been no time for the angels to fall, or for Lucifer to rebel against God.

Adam Named Every Living Creature, But Not The Extinct Dinosaurs

Another piece of evidence in support of an Old Earth is the fact that Adam DIDN'T name even one of the dinosaurs:

Genesis 2:19, “And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.”

As you just read, the Bible says that Adam named “EVERY LIVING CREATURE.” Yet, all of the names given to dinosaurs have been provided by modern-day scientists. Adam couldn't name the dinosaurs because they were already extinct. The Bible plainly teaches that Adam named EVERY LIVING CREATURE. If, as Young Earthers claim, dinosaurs co-existed with man, then Adam would have given names to all of the dinosaurs, but he did not. In sharp contrast to the unscholarly grasping for straws by Young Earthers, the evidence for an Old Earth is plain to see. The truth is like the moon and the sun, that is, it can only be hid for so long. The truth always becomes self-evident over time; whereas falsehoods and heresies must continually be bolstered up and propagated.

Whacky Young Earthers Claim Dinosaurs On Ark Grew Slower

The book's authors desperately grasp for straws to boost up their straw-man heresy:

“God could well have chosen specimens He knew would undergo their growth spurt as soon as they left the Ark. This would solve the common skeptical objections of fitting and feeding huge dinosaurs on the Ark. That is, the dinosaurs weren't actually that huge while they were on board. The growth spurt just after leaving the Ark would also mean that they could quickly outgrow potential predators.”

What you've just read is typical of the unscholarly rubbish, bizarre assumptions and junk science of Young Earth advocates! Since there is no logical way that hundreds of dinosaur species could fit onto the Ark, Young Earth advocates are forced to shrink the size of the dinosaurs, minimize the number of dinosaurs, and even slow down their growth rate! How ludicrous! This is the “science falsely so-called” that the Bible warns us about in 1st Timothy 6:20. Clearly, dinosaurs DIDN'T co-exist with mankind.

The Bible warns us about “OPPOSITIONS TO SCIENCE”! The Greek word for “oppositions” in 1st Timothy 6:20 is antithesis and means “conflict” (i.e., a conflicting theory). The word “science” is the Greek word gnosis and means “knowing” (i.e., knowledge). Thus, the Bible is warning us to avoid conflicting theories with factual science. For something to be true science (meaning: the study of), it must first be observable, testable and documentable. Evolution is none of these! Certainly, the bogus theory of evolution conflicts with all established laws and principles of legitimate science. Evolution is FALSE science!

Furthermore, the claim that dinosaurs lived amongst man and boarded the ark of Noah's time is also a gross opposition of legitimate science! Beware of anyone who teaches that dinosaurs boarded Noah's ark! Nor did dinosaurs live at the same time as men. Science proves that the earth is very old, just as the Bible teaches in Psalms 102:25, “Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.”

Ecclesiastes 11:5 and 12:4, “As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.... Basically, proponents of an Old Earth view believe that the earth was created by God—did not evolve—has existed for millions (if not billions) of years—and that the human race is young, having only been in existence for 6,000 years (since 4,000 BC). Dr. Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) and Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951) believed this and so do I. This is often called the 'Gap Principle' (that is, a time gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2). I don't call it a theory because it is not a “theory.”

The Hebrew word for “created” in Genesis 1:1 is bara, which means “(absolutely) to create.” The Hebrew word for “made” in Scriptures such as Genesis 1:6 is asah and means “to do or make, in the broadest sense and widest application.” The fact that the word created in Genesis 1:1 is ABSOLUTE concerning creation, but all other words thereafter are not absolute, tells us that there was a big difference in what God was doing here. God created the universe out of nothing in Genesis 1:1, but then He remodeled creation beginning in Genesis 1:2c when His Spirit moved upon the waters.

Science Evidences An Old Earth, But Disproves Evolution

Most Christians have enough common sense to know that Evolution is a lie of the Devil. There's absolutely no tangible, observable, testable, verifiable or conclusive evidence to support the bogus theories of Evolution. In sharp contrast, legitimate science evidences an old earth, at least tens-of-millions of years old. Science has repeatedly evidenced by using tests on ACTUAL dinosaur bones, that dinosaurs lived tens-of-millions of years ago.

Take a good look at that actual dinosaur skeleton below. Do you honestly believe that Noah and his family brought baby Tyrannosauruses onto the Ark? You've got to be kidding? ...

Dinosaurs Survived Mass Extinction by 700,000 Years, Fossil Find Suggests

ScienceDaily (Jan. 27, 2011) — University of Alberta researchers determined that a fossilized dinosaur bone found in New Mexico confounds the long established paradigm that the age of dinosaurs ended between 65.5 and 66 million years ago.

The U of A team, led by Larry Heaman from the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, determined the femur bone of a hadrosaur as being only 64.8 million years old. That means this particular plant eater was alive about 700,000 years after the mass extinction event many paleontologists believe wiped all non-avian dinosaurs off the face of earth, forever.

Heaman and colleagues used a new direct-dating method called U-Pb (uranium-lead) dating. A laser beam unseats minute particles of the fossil, which then undergo isotopic analysis. This new technique not only allows the age of fossil bone to be determined but potentially can distinguish the type of food a dinosaur eats. Living bone contains very low levels of uranium but during fossilization (typically less than 1000 years after death) bone is enriched in elements like uranium. The uranium atoms in bone decay spontaneously to lead over time and once fossilization is complete the uranium-lead clock starts ticking. The isotopic composition of lead determined in the hadrosaur's femur bone is therefore a measure of its absolute age.

Currently, paleontologists date dinosaur fossils using a technique called relative chronology. Where possible, a fossil's age is estimated relative to the known depositional age of a layer of sediment in which it was found or constrained by the known depositional ages of layers above and below the fossil-bearing horizon. However, obtaining accurate depositional ages for sedimentary rocks is very difficult and as a consequence the depositional age of most fossil horizons is poorly constrained. A potential weakness for the relative chronology approach is that over millions of years geologic and environmental forces may cause erosion of a fossil-bearing horizon and therefore a fossil can drift or migrate from its original layer in the strata. The researchers say their direct-dating method precludes the reworking process.

It's widely believed that a mass extinction of the dinosaurs happened between 65.5 and 66 million years ago. It's commonly believed debris from a giant meteorite impact blocked out the Sun, causing extreme climate conditions and killing vegetation worldwide.

When I lived in Chicago I saw “Sue” the T-rex on display at the Field Museum Of Natural History. The skeletal dinosaur remains were unearthed in the state of Montana. I recall looking up, because Sue is really tall. There's no way that these horrific, yet beautiful, creatures dwelt with humanity. Any thinking person has a hard time believing that dinosaurs lived amongst mankind, and that Noah left the dinosaurs behind. It is superstition. Even more bizarre is the heresy that Noah brought baby dinosaurs onto the Ark. The logical and Biblical truth is that dinosaurs never coexisted with mankind. You can even find the word “old” in Psalms 102:25, “Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.” The issue is hotly debating, some even attacking the salvation of others who disagree. I think that is wrong.

Sin Existed Before Genesis 1:2

Adam's sin did not cause Lucifer and one-third of the angels to fall. Sin existed prior to Adam, for it was Satan who sinned in trying to get Eve to sin. Adam's sin brought sin and death into the world that we know today. If Satan was created in Genesis, then God made the Devil. This is not what the Bible teaches.

We read that Lucifer became Satan by his own free-will, when he sought in Isaiah 14:14 to be EQUAL with God. This is the sin of feminists today who desire to be EQUAL with man's authority in the marriage, home, church and society. In every society where women rise to EQUALITY with men, there is lesbianism and abortion, corrupt women judges and preachers, and every evil work.

The fact that Satan (Revelation 20:2) was the serpent in the Garden Of Eden proves that he already existed before Genesis 1:2 when God began to REMODEL the earth. Those who advocate a Young Earth and claim that sin didn't exist prior to Adam don't know what they're talking about. Lucifer sinned. The Angels who followed him rebelled and sinned in so doing. What Satan did to Eve was a sin, for he deceived her to harm her. Eve then led Adam into sin. Then the entire human race was plunged into sin and death.

It is easy to get caught-up into a heresy if we're not diligent to try (test) the spirits as 1st John 4:1 commands. Dr. Walt Brown of CreationScience.com teaches on his website that dinosaurs boarded the Ark and went for a ride with Noah for one year. Dinosaurs on the Ark? I don't think so! I'd say that about 90% of all the professed Christian websites are teaching a Young Earth view (and they're all wrong!). Most of those Young Earth ministries try to support their claim by evidencing that mankind has only been here for 6,000 years.

They're piggybacking their lie of a Young Earth on the truth of a Young Human Civilization! There is no debate whatsoever that humanity DIDN'T exist prior to 4,004 BC! The human race is 6,000 years old. This truth is easily evidenced by the advancement of humanity's writings, inventions, knowledge and population —all attesting to the fact that mankind began around 4,000 BC.

I actually heard a preacher proclaiming to his congregation that the solar system centers around the earth. He said only heretics teach that the sun is the center of our solar system. Albeit, astronomy evidences that the planets rotate around the sun, which is the largest mass in our planetary system. He took Joshua 10:13 out of context, which says “the sun stood still, and the moon stayed.” So this guy concluded that the sun must rotate around the earth.

The scientific truth is that all of the heavenly bodies are moving and rotating around each other. Thank God for hillbilly preachers; I love them every one if they still believe that the King James Bible is inspired and preach the truth from it. Amen! However, many people with college degrees won't listen to an ignorant man who blatantly goes against legitimate science. Dinosaurs could not plausible have existed along with mankind 4,500 years ago.

The Bible Teaches An Old Earth, But A Young Human Race

Psalms 102:25, “Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.”

The only reason why so many dead theologians, so-called experts and sincere people hold to a Young Earth view is because they've either never studied on their own, or have never had the blessing of a doctrinally-sound Bible teacher. Whereas most of us repeat doctrines that we've heard over the years, Pastor Younce questions them. Faithful Christians do tend to question anything taught by the religious cults, such as the falsehood of Seventh-day Adventism that requires works for salvation. However, oftentimes we DON'T question teachings that we receive from fellow believers in the Lord. 1st John 4:1 tells us to try (test) the spirits of everything (music, books, doctrines, Bible versions, people, et cetera). There are many deceptions in the world. The Word of God is our absolute standard against which all else is to be tested. This is why the Lord taught us to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES (John 5:39).

Even without having the advantage of the Hebrew language available, anyone can see that the word “created” is not mentioned again after Genesis 1:1 until the 5th day of creation in Genesis 1:21 when He “created” the whales. Everything on the second, third and fourth day of creation were “made” the Bible says, which means that they previously existed and God simply remodeled them according to His fashion.

CHAPTER TWELVE

THE REMODELING

We have previously discussed the difference between "created" ( Hebrew "bara") and "made" (Hebrew "asah"). To briefly refresh your memory; "created" means that God created something that at no time in the past had ever existed. "Made," on the other hand means "to form, assemble, and arrange from its previous state of usefulness to that form of beautification, so as to be used by God for His purpose."

It is interesting to notice that from Genesis 1:1 where God created the heavens and the earth; the word "created" (Hebrew "bara") does not appear again until the Fifth Day in Verse 20. Everything from Verse 2 to Verse 19 has to do with remodeling the earth in four days. These elements had previously been associated with the Original Creation, where Lucifer and the angels resided. Lucifer's sin brought about God's judgment on the earth, rendering it "without form and void." The angels are now disembodied spirit beings, leaving the earth uninhabitable and in a chaotic ruin. Now let us see what elements, which were previously created and were with the Original Creation, that God is now going to reactivate and position in His remodeling process.

1. Water. - Nowhere does it say from Verses 2 to 19 that water was created to be used as part of the renovation of the earth. Why would that be? Very simply, because water had already been created and in existence at the Original Creation. Notice in Genesis 1:2, it was water that God used to cover the earth as part of His judgment on the Original Creation (Genesis 1:2).

I had read and heard all my life from trusted Bible scholars that the Roman Empire will be revived in the End Times. You know, I still can't find anything in the Bible about a “revived Roman Empire.” In Revelation 17:10-11 we are taught that the Antichrist will arise from the 7th king (kingdom). There are 7 kings and the 8th is the Antichrist. These are world powers throughout history. The first 6 kings (world powers) were: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome. There are super powers today, but no world power. The 7th king will be World Government (the New World Order). I think the Scriptures couldn't be any plainer in view of the world today. Rome won't be revived.

There are dozens of reasons to believe in an Old Earth view. Likewise, there are dozens more reasons why a Young Earth view doesn't make sense at all. Proponents of a Young Earth view grasp for straws in a desperate attempt to validate their teachings. Eric Hovind's website at CreationToday.org claims the earth is young because the human race is only 6,000 years old. The age of the human race has absolutely NOTHING to do with the age of the earth! They're comparing apples with oranges.

The human race is indeed only 6,000 years old and the advancement of civilizations (languages, inventions, medical, industry, et cetera) clearly evidence this fact. However, the earth is very old. I have no problem with scientists estimating that the universe is 12 billion years old. It may be for all we know. What I do know is that the Hebrew language shows in Genesis 1:2 that the earth which God created became without form, and void and dark; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. The Bible says God's Word NEVER returns void. Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Everything that God has ever created is good. Only sin destroys good. God never created a devil. God never created a fallen man. God never created an earth that is void.

You know, there are so many practical truths in the Bible that evidence an Old Earth. The book of Job chronologically took place at the same time as the book of Genesis. There are many evidences for this. For example: The law of God is not mentioned in Job, because it had not yet been given. Job mentions being hunted like a fierce lion. Job 10:16, “For it increaseth. Thou huntest me as a fierce lion: and again thou shewest thyself marvellous upon me.” If there were carnivorous dinosaurs alive at the time of Genesis, no doubt Job would have thought of a more ferocious predator than a mere lion. Many dinosaurs were meat-eating hunters!

The Bible, science, archaeology, history, paleontology and common sense evidence an Old Earth. I am a Creationist. I believe in a literal 6-day creation in Genesis. But the Hebrew language indicates that God remodeled the earth during those 6-days. To believe and teach that the universe did not exist prior to 4,004 BC (the date of the beginning of the human race) is ridiculous. A study of the civilizations of humanity overwhelmingly evidences that mankind began 6,000 years ago; but science also plainly evidences that the earth is much older.

Whether you believe in a Young Earth or an Old Earth has absolutely nothing to do with your salvation, but I believe many sincere unsaved people have been driven away from the Gospel when they hear a Christian teaching that dinosaurs roamed the earth 4,500 years ago. The reason why most believers are caught-up into the Young Earth heresy is because they have been taught to associate an Old Earth view with the bogus teachings of Evolution. But the truth is that the doctrine of an Old Earth does not in any way support the lies of Evolution. Evolution is totally against science and legitimate science is totally against Evolution! There is no scientific evidence to support the ridiculous theories of Evolution. In sharp contrast, all fields of science DOES support the truth of an Old Earth.

So remember these four truths:

1. Legitimate science disproves the theories of Evolution.
2. Legitimate science proves an old earth that's at least tens-of-millions of years old, which did not evolve.
3. The Biblical truth of Creation does not contradict either true science or an Old Earth theological position.
4. The human race is only 6,000 years old, evidenced by history and the holy Bible.
5. Legitimate science and the holy Bible NEVER contradict or disagree. People who follow a Young Earth position are rejecting proven science! And people who follow Evolution are rejecting the inspired Words of God in the Bible! An Old Earth position accepts the claims of legitimate science, and as well rejects the bogus claims of Evolutionists, while upholding the inspired holy Scriptures!
