The Heresy Of Sinless Perfection

1st  John 1:10, “If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”

This blog will be very offensive to self-righteous people. We are way more sinful than we'd like to believe. We need Jesus way more than we realize. The idea that you can be sinless lowers God's standards of holiness, creates self-righteousness, and downplays your great need and appreciation for Jesus Christ and His finished work at the Cross. So the doctrine of sinless perfection is not biblically sound.

The belief that you can stop sinning completely and achieve sinless perfection is unbiblical. The Bible says that if we claim to be without sin, we call God a liar, we deceive ourselves with self righteousness and the truth is not in us:

1 John 1:8 (KJB)
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
(have no sin - present tense)

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
(have not sinned - past tense)

The Bible also says that apart from the imputed righteousness of God, there are none that are righteous by their own performance. There is no man without sin:

20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

Why this doctrine of sinless perfection is very dangerous? The belief that you can become sinless and perfect by your own doing creates a deceptive self righteousness within:

3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

It downplays your sinful condition and downplays your desperate need of Jesus Christ and His blood sacrifice for sin, His imputed righteousness and His finished work at the cross. You submit to your own righteousness which is filthy, instead of submitting to and relying upon the righteousness of God which is by simple faith in Christ. This can send you to Hell:

21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

How sinful you really are in your dead corruptible flesh? Many people, even Christians, have a skewed perspective of sin. They think sin is just murder, fornication, stealing, doing drugs, etc. But God's standard of perfection is much higher than man's. The average human has an average of 70,000 thoughts per day. God not only looks at our actions, but our words, our thoughts, and motives. We sin every day in some way:

Below is a list of sins that one may overlook or not even realize they are committing. Keep in mind if you commit one sin, it's as if you committed them all (James 2:10, Galatians 3:10):

If God should mark iniquities, not a single saint could stand. Psalms 130:3, “If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?”

False Teacher Colin Smith’s Teachings

Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

The inspired Holy Bible foretold that many FALSE TEACHERS would arise in the last days. We are living in those perilous times today in 2023.

One such subtle false prophet is Pastor Colin S. Smith of The Orchard Evangelical Free Church in Chicago, Illinois. Colin Smith has been their pastor since 1996. The ministry has five campus locations thrghout northern Illinois. Dr. Smith has spoken frequently at Moody Church's annual Founder's Week in downtown, Chicago, as has Calvinist infidel John MacArthur. Tragically, Moody Church and Moody Bible Institute have turned Calvinist over the past half century, inviting the Devil in the front door. Calvinism is of the Devil in all it's ugly deceptive forms. Calvinism is not compatible with a free grace Gospel.

Colin Smith is subtle False Gospel teacher, who very deceptively preaches a Christian-sounding theology, but goes horrible astray elsewhere. You may want to read the link below first and see if you can detect what is wrong with it. There are a couple of sentences that scream “False Gospel.” Notice the spiritually deadly teaching written by Colin Smith:

“All of us have heard stories about people who have professed Christian faith while quietly indulging their sins of choice. Such a person is not a Christian but a hypocrite. What a person believes is a necessary mark, but it is not sufficient to identify a genuine Christian.”

Do you see his woeful error? Kindly said, Pastor Colin is conditioning one's salvation upon sanctification. In a different sermon on 'How Do I Get To Heaven?,' he makes it clear that we are saved by faith without works. Yet, Colin then turns around in his article on 'The Distinguishing Marks Of A Christian,' saying that you are not saved if there is sin in your life. Why the double standard? Why the fork-tongued talk? Dear reader, either salvation is by grace, or it is by works, but it absolutely cannot be both. For a preacher to teach that we are saved without works, but then turn around and say that without works no one is saved, is heresy! This type of confusing double-talk is typical of the corrupt Lordship Salvation crowd.

A “saved” person is someone who came to God at some point in their life as a guilty sinner, and they BELIEVED (put their trust) in Jesus to forgive those sins.  Being “saved” refers to a born-again sinner who BELIEVES that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, the Christ. A “saved” person is someone who BELIEVES that Jesus died on a cross, was buried and three days later bodily resurrected from the dead (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

My security is in the Word of God, not in my works! No one is living up to the perfect standard set forth in the Word of God. We can desire it, but we cannot perform it. There are no “distinguishing marks of a Christian.” There are traits that are found in one living by the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, et cetera.

And there are good works that saved believers are commanded to do, but there are many unbelievers who also do good works and have love, joy, and peace (although not of the same kind and source as a believer in Jesus (who is God). Anything that an unsaved person can imitate cannot be used as “proof” of being saved. The only thing that a saved person has, which the unsaved person does not, is the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. 1st John 3:24, “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.” According to the Bible, a person can know he is a saved believer, by the inner witness of the Holy Spirit–because he believes in Jesus. Salvation is a FREE GIFT through faith in Jesus.

The reason that the article, 'The Distinguishing Marks Of A Christian,' by Colin Smith is False Gospel teaching is that it makes doing of good works the bottom line for defining who is and who is not saved.

Our works are not our assurance of salvation–ONLY faith in Jesus is the source of our assurance of salvation.

All believers still sin. What Smith is saying is that a person cannot believe in Jesus and be saved while he still sins. This is deadly false doctrine.

When Jesus tells us to pray: “Forgive us our trespasses,” in the Lord’s Prayer as saved believers, are they not true Christians? Obviously they are.

When James tells saved believers in Jesus to “confess your faults” one to another, are these people not true Christians? Yes, they are.

When 1st John says that if believers say “we have no sin,” the truth is not in us and we do not know God, is not John saying that all believers still sin? Of course. We are all sinners! Every saint will sin until they day we die and depart from this sinful flesh.

Those who have believed in the Good News of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen are saved eternally.

Jesus said, in John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”

Galatians 1:6-9 curses Senior Pastor Colin Smith, twice, for preaching a false Gospel of works. The Gospel is NOT partial faith in Christ plus works to prove you are saved. No, the Gospel is simply faith alone in the Gospel alone. Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do. Colin cannot have it both ways. He cannot claim that salvation is by grace in one sermon, and then in another sermon teach that you are not saved unless you have forsaken a lifestyle of sinning. It cannot be both. We must always keep service completely separate from salvation.

Pilgrim's Progress author, John Bunyan, said it well:

“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” —John Bunyan (1628-1688)

The Beatitudes DO NOT tell us what a saved believer in Jesus looks like, as Smith errantly says in the last part of his article. The Beatitudes tell us what God’s will is, and how we should live, and how far our inner attitudes fall from perfection. There are people who do not even believe in Jesus, who live by the Beatitudes.

Smith says at the end, that salvation is not by works, but then he contradicts himself by saying that it is only by works that we can know if someone is saved. This is how all false teachers operate. They say they believe in salvation by faith alone, without good works; but then they make good works a requirement to know if you are really saved. The truth is, those who believe in Jesus as Savior are saved eternally (John 6:47).

Pastor Smith probably needs to get saved, and to ever have Jesus alone as his foundation for salvation and true Christianity.

Evolution Is The Most Blatant Lie Ever Invented By Evil Men

Evolution is the most blatant evil lie ever contrived by man. In the early 19th century Jean-Baptiste Lamarck (1744–1829) proposed his theory of the transmutation of species, the first fully formed theory of evolution. In 1858 Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace published a new evolutionary theory, explained in detail in Darwin's On the Origin of Species (1859).[1] History exposes the Freemasons as being involved in the forced indoctrination of children with the ungodly bogus theories of evolution!

There is not a more Satanic evil in this world, than the attack on impressionable children's souls with the blatant lies of evolution. Any uneducated fool knows that humans did not evolve from gorillas! If men came from apes, then why are there still apes? It is a simple question. It doesn't require a rocket scientist to figure it out. Only a wicked person who hates God would want to deprive children of the inspired Word of God, and replace it with a bizarre science-fiction story. Romans 1:28a, “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind...”

Evolutionists are fools! 1st Corinthians 3:19, “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.” Our text Scripture says in Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” We further read the truth in 2nd Peter 3:5a, “For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old...” Anyone who accepts the lies of evolution are spitting on the Holy Bible! We have very clear teaching in the inspired Holy Scriptures, that it was God Who created the heavens and earth, and all therein. Jeremiah 32:17a, “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm...”

I just read something that didn't surprise me—31% of all Roman Catholics accept the lies of evolution.[2] It doesn't surprise me because Catholics don't even accept the Bible. Mark 7:9, “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” Kindly, heathen Catholics are no better than heathen evolutionists, who elevate manmade TRADITION over the inspired eternal WORD OF GOD! People either believe what man says about God, or what God says about man. God says evolutionists are corrupt! Psalms 53:1, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.” Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Humanity is prone to sin and rebellion. Jesus Christ came by way of the cross, to set men free from the condemnation of the LAW by GRACE, “TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE” (1st Corinthians 1:21b).

One of the most disturbing things about the human race, that I have learned in my 52 years of life, is how easy it is to manipulate and deceive people. Evolution is so obvious a big lie! There are no scientific proofs of evolution. There is no tests which can be done to support the insane claims of evolutionists. If you think “insane” is too strong a word, then please consider that NASA bizarrely claims the earth and moon were formed by two planetary objects (which were flying through space) crashed into each other, and then enough small ice-containing meteors struck the earth over billions of years to form the oceans, and then somehow life came into being, evolved into all that you see around you. You are a fool of fools if you buy into that junk science! By espousing such anti-biblical teachings, NASA are demonstrating that they are an ungodly organization.

Colossians 1:12-17, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”

Devil's Corrupt Bibles Attack Jesus As Creator

KING JAMES BIBLE (KJB) - Colossians 1:16, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”

ENGLISH STANDARD VERSION (ESV) - Colossians 1:16, “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.”

The counterfeit modern Bible versions change “by Him” to “through Him,” attacking the deity of Jesus Christ as the Creator of the universe. The wicked modern Bible-corrupters are no better than the ungodly evolutionists. Evolution is the most obvious lie ever invented by evil men! There is not one shred of evidence to support the shady claims of evolutionists!

The irony in all this is that Charles Darwin himself (who is considered the undisputed father of evolutionary theory), never claimed that his theories were exhaustively true. Darwin went to his deathbed protesting that he'd been misinterpreted, saying that there was no reason to assume that 'natural selection' was the only imaginable mechanism of evolution.

The Holy Scriptures warn that “WHOSOEVER LOVETH AND MAKETH A LIE” will not enter into Heaven's pearly gates. ...

Revelation 22:13-16, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

The reason why such ungodly people won't enter into Heaven isn't because God doesn't want them to enter Heaven, it is because they love wickedness and refuse to come to the Savior to be saved. John 5:40, “And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.” John 3:20, “For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

Satanists are behind the indoctrination of children with the bogus lies of evolution. The Holy Bible is a child's moral compass in life, without which they are doomed to the whims of man. It is not a mere coincidence that God's Word has been removed and banned from public schools, replaced with the lies of evolution. It is not a mere coincidence that youth are being introduced to immoral sex in public schools, and taught all manner of ungodly filth. Can anyone really ask why our American society is so messed up today, when we have banned God's Word and prayer from all public schools since 1963? I think not.

The best looking LIE is the HALF-TRUTH, because in part it can be defended with incontestable logic. Evolution is a LIE, which has been wrapped in truth to deceive everyone. Natural Selection is not evolution! Within the dog family, we see a variety of different species: wolves, foxes, coyotes, dingoes, et cetera. Yet the offspring of a dog will always be a dog. Natural Selection is not the driving force behind evolution.[3] Evolution is false science. 1st Timothy 6:20, “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.”

Evolution is not legitimate science, because it cannot be studied, tested or recreated in a lab. In order for something to be considered a “science,” there must first be something to study. Evolution is nothing more than mere conjecture, an unproven theory concocted in some atheist's broken mind. Men did not evolve from apes, for if they had, why are there still apes?

Evolutionists foolishly teach that giraffes used to have short necks billions of years ago. Since they couldn't reach the food, the giraffe's necks grew over billions of years as they tried to stick their necks upward to reach the fruit on the trees. Folks that is insanity!
